I am asking because of a storyline on a show that I was watching. The character is a marine who was wounded in combat, lost a leg and was discharged. He has an artificial leg now, and on the show he re-enlisted under a fake name.

I don't think he would even be able to enlist, and definitely would not be sent into a war zone. Am I wrong?

I got into a argument and discovered my gf was lying and cheating on me so i spit out of disgust and, and she turned and it hit her arm and the police were phoned and they charged me with assault. I relize that it was very disrespectfull and rude hence i spent 5 days in jail right off the bat and had plenty of time too think about how disrespectfull it was. i live in canada and was wondering what will happen too me ?

I had origionally wanted to get a stun gun but they are illegal in New York. I want something more powerful for protection in my home than pepper spray. What process do I need to go through to be allowed to have a firearm?

To hire mercenary groups to go and make our mark on the middle east? I mean, a contract for the French Foreign Legion would be a fraction of the cost of what we are paying US Soldiers. Sure, the death toll would be 10000x's greater, but they would save so much money, right?

I bet he really burns repcon's asses, always talking about loving your neighbor and turning the other cheek.
And that stuff about if you have more than one pair of shoes and meet someone who doesn't have any you should give him a pair of yours, that interfere's with their "me me me mine" attitude.

I've never been into politics, but I'm realizing that I must know about them. I would like to know what each party stands for (Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, etc) so that I can make an educated decision on which party to place myself in. I recently started voting, and I would like my vote to be an educated one.
