Do you believe this to be true? Thoughts? Comment? What will our government be doing to provide awareness to people that these places are addictive and killers just like cigarettes? if you could help me find this article it would be lovely..

Sounds like an extremist or alarmist view of someone with an agenda...

I suppose if I ate burgers every day, I would less healthy than a fruit eater. One could make the same statement about overuse of alcohol, chocolate, candy, soda, or many foods...

That is actually false, but within he next 10- 15 years obesity and bad eating habits may be the leading cause of death since the amount of smokers and public smoking areas are lowering and the amount of bad quality food is rising.

There are militant Islamic radicals that are trying to kill you and me and everyone else that does not submit to their world view. You may not have heard about it because you had your headphones in while you were power walking and eating granola but we were attacked on 9/11 and over three thousand innocent civilians, firefighters and policemen were killed. They died that day. It really didn't matter what they had for breakfast or if they did their yoga that morning now did it?

Here we are facing an enemy that has sleeper cells living among us. But what you care about is CO2 emissions and trans-fats. Heaven help us!

The three leading causes of death are

Heart Disease: can be cause by diet
Cancer: can be caused by smoking
Stroke: can be caused by smoking or diet

People look at what most likely caused the death and it usually is smoking or diet. So in many studies deaths are attributed to it.

It's plausible; go find some hard evidence to point one way or another.

Government has no place in telling us what we should eat. We should be responsibly informed citizens, dammit.
