I work at an assisted living facility and our company has just gotten bought by another company. Every month we HAVE to have alteast 4 staff meetings that we usually get paid for (even if you have the day off). Now we just found out (with out them telling us) that we are no longer getting paid for these meetings and that they are still mandatory and if we miss a meeting we will get a write up. I was just wondering if this is legal.

If we pull our troops out of the middle east what will our troops do if we have another terrorist attack, should we deploy more troops overseas somewhere? or should we deploy our troops domestically to the terrorist disaster, to help pull out victims? or should the government consult with a psychic (maybe similar to Nostradamus) and predict the next terrorist attack? or should we not do anything) and have a national barbecue in celebration? Well, if another serious terrorist attack occurs and the source is once again from the middle east shouldn't we sick our troops on that area of insurgency? So basically, wouldn't it be more economically safer to keep our troops in the susceptible area of insurgency; the middle east? I mean isn't it wrong for us to cry over not seeing johnny or jane, because we miss them, when it is at the most critical time that we keep the insurgency at bay at not at our doorsteps? I mean johnny and jane did sign up to be a fighting soldier, right?

Many people that answered my other question thought I said that global warming doesn't exist. READ THE QUESTION AND DETAILS. I asked why people that preach to us about warming aren't practicing. I.E. Al Gore: 1300 bucks a month in ONE of his houses. And don't give the line about the carbon footprint buyback (I believe that's what it's called) where people pay money to a company to offset their HUGE energy useage. There's no guarantee that the money will go to offsetting. Look at all the money that was to go to Hurricane Katrina relief! Why can't these hypocrits just use less in the first place? I have an idea, use commercial planes instead of private jets, and why does a family of two need a 20 room mansion?!

A magistrate wants to allow an ex-husband to have access to two very young children when he has already been charged with kidnapping them (they were rescued back from him) and has spent time in jail for attempted murder of his ex-wife. He has now been granted access to the children's school by the magistrate.

Surely in this day and age we can find a better system of finding out if someone is guilty or not of a crime apart from asking a bunch of 'joe public' for their opinion, especially now they have done away with the 'double jeopardy' rule in the UK ? With all these miscarriages of justice, the whole thing is obviously not working is it ?

It was 9:30ish PM. I was driving in a street. It was yellow and im running approximately 35mph. I crossed the intersection before the red light came. Suddenly there is a cop who caught me saying i ran the red light--which is not. My dad was with me while im driving and he said it was still yellow and probably the cop is just tripping me. Would the court believe us if my only witness is my dad who is a family relative?!

With his total screw up of this Iraq war and the lost of over 3000 fellow solders, would anyone help raise funds to send him ( so he could serve his country like he should have in Nam) or have his daughters die for this country by serving in a front line? I am willing to also support the call to arms from any person in Congress that is willing to send themselves, spouse, or children into harms way they way they voted to send our troops after 9/11. SO lets fund this nice one year vacation to a sunny fun location where you get three hots and a cot along with all the lead you can eat for free.....

The pople that we vote for to rpresent us in parliament are often found there fighting and beating and screaming instead of just debating do they deserve to be there because I don't think that problems can not be solved politely.
