ok friiday night i slipped and fell on a patch of ice. it was black ice in a parking lot and my friend also fell right next to me you could not see it at all. i broke my leg and have to have surgery on fri and can not walk on it ie work for over 2 months. i did talk to a laywer who told me to try and work it out with the landlord first. i called them and told them i dont want to sue them for a big amount of money like some people would i am just interested in having my medical bills covered and lost wages bc i now have no way to pay my bills for over 2 months. she told me it was not their decesion that it was between my insurance company and their insurance company if i get any money for lost wages. she said my insurance would call me and ask if i wanted to do that. i have never heard of that before and i feel like i am getting the run around. i dont want to call and bother the laywer again bc he was nice enough to give me free advice in the 1st place. have u every heard of that?

A ban on the N-word? If I want to go down the street saying the N-word, F-word, B-word, or any other word, I have the right to say it. Banning the word, although it might come out of pure hate, violates freedom of speech...correct?

Personally I think if you can call hanging someone or using the electric chair inhumane, then you can call lethal injection and the gas chamber the exact same. If they want to be humane 'without' contradicting themselves, then I think they should just give the prisoners a bottle of pills and tell them to do it themselves within a certain time limit. 'Then', if the prisoners don't go on and end their misery, then the state or whatever can go ahead and kill them. By the way, it wouldn't be considered assisted suicide, 'cause the prisoners probably don't want to die in the first place.

Al Gore owns 4 houses one of which has 20 rooms and 8 bathrooms. He flys continously in private jets and limo service.
Hollywood phony's travel in limo's live in 6000 sqft homes.

It seems all rich left environmentalist believe they can buy carbon credits. From whom....From me...can I give up my SUV as directed by them out of conscious on my part not theirs. It seems to them they can go on living their elaborate life style, but I am suppose to freeze in my house, buy a hybrid...I guess make two trips if I have a big family. While they act as though they are holier than though. Doesn't this sound like Communism...talking to people who came from Russia it sure does.

Is Al-Sistani an infallible Imam?
Are either of them decendents of Ali?
Maybe this question should be asked under the religion category, but noone can deny the political implications of it.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. WHy does it seem like some politicians try and make rich people look like villains? If someone legally and honestly makes a fortune, why should they have to pay for more than someone who doesn't? Don't speak from your heart on this one, be real.

I am 33 weeks pregnant, and my now ex bf disappeared when I was about 28 weeks. We broke up at this time and he kicked me out of the house that we were living in, and he didn't bother to give me any food to eat, he was negligent, irresponsible, and I generally think that he is incapable to be a father to my baby boy. I want to adopt the boy out when he is born, but my ex bf will not agree to adoption and he doesn't want any contact with me at all, but he told my best friend that if I don't want the baby then he and his mother will care for him. But if I am prepared to keep the baby then he doesn't want him. But I just don't trust him with my baby, even if he is the father. But he blames me for all that has been going on. He says that I didn't show that I loved him enough, and that I was immature. I know that for adoption that they need consent from both parents, but is there a legal way that I can adopt this baby boy out without the consent of his father, for the baby's sake?

I would bring troops from all over the world home, pardon everyone for a victimless crime such as drugs, tax evasion, and gun possesion. Then I would eliminate all programs not specifically authorized in the Constitution and the government would be so small that there would be no need for an IRS to exist.

The President is using his best options. Our other leaders should be working alongside with him, not criticize every step. It is critical point in history that we all have to work together and put the blame aside. The American people needs to show a little patience because there is a lot at stake.

A court judge issued misdemeanor charge and fined a driver $50 for running through a red light, hitting another car and causing injuries to the other driver. It was the City vs. this driver (defendant). A court hearing was first rescheduled at the request of the cited driver or defendant's attorney who said they were to bring witnesses. The time of the hearing was changed again (one hour and a half ahead of the origionally scheduled time) on the day for the rescheduled hearing. Two witnesses for the city, including the victim, did not know the change. One witness for the city was contacted and told that the defendant and his lawyer had decided to plea guilty instead of going through trial (appearing to have no witness). The witness was able to get there while the trial continued. However, this witness was told to wait outside of the court room. When the trial was over, the witness was told that the defendant plead no contest and paid fine. Is there something wrong with this process
