First they told us Iraq had WMD and was a threat to America.
Then, when there was no WMD, they told us they were building democracy in Iraq.
Now, that there is a civil war and no democracy, they tell us they can't leave or it will get worse.

What will they say when they DO leave and it DOES get better?

NBC HIRES A LEFT-WING DEMAGOGUE

Tell a friend about this site

Alexandria, VA – NBC News announced today that MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann will contribute occasional “essays,” i.e., commentary, to NBC’s Nightly News with Brian Williams. In response to NBC’s announcement, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell issued the following statement:

“NBC just lurched further left politically with its choice of Keith Olbermann, a known ‘liberal hero,’ to provide occasional commentary on the Nightly News. Commentary, even liberal commentary, by itself is perfectly acceptable, but the problem is that Keith Olbermann is a dishonest commentator. Look at his record, which has been well-documented here at the Media Research Center.

“Mr. Olbermann has consistently mis-represented the facts on a variety of issues, including the Iraq war, the war against terrorism, homeland security, global warming, the Republican Party, President Bush, and on and on. For instance, Mr. Olbermann, without a shred of evidence, has even suggested that the White House uses the terror alert code to manipulate public opinion. That’s not commentary. That’s delusional paranoia.

“Keith Olbermann not only consistently distorts truth, he does so while smearing conservatives he doesn’t like with vile ad hominem attacks – the kind of attacks that would trigger the immediate dismissal of a conservative if he or she did the same on NBC.

“NBC could have chosen any number of insightful, thoughtful, fact-centered liberals to provide commentary for the Nightly News. Instead, NBC chose a mean-spirited, truth-distorting leftist, elevating a cable station barker to one of the most esteemed spots on network news. And the liberal media wonder why more and more Americans don’t trust them and are turning away.”

I've heard that it's not that dangerous for jobs need on the base. He's a correctional officer and is level 3 certified security officer.....are there ANY jobs he'd qualify in that don't put him in direct harm?

Why do they WANT America to lose in Iraq? They aren't just invested in defeat anymore, they OWN defeat.

I hear a lot of "stay the course" or "cut and run" gibberish. But I have yet to hear what the goals of the U.S. government are in Iraq, what they hope to achieve, and how they plan to achieve it. Given that there is practically no hope of a western style democracy rising up, providing for its people and ending sectarian violence, what _is_ achievable and what _is_ a satisfactory outcome? Are the goals of the President and his advisors endorsed by the American people?

For the able amputees and disabled that are home in hospitals to be able to stay in a specialized area of the Military. They are needed and would be able to work in electronics on any base.

This would allow them to continue to work for the military towards their retirement and receive their benefits (as they will disabled anyway).

It would seem that emotionally and for the sake of their families they would be so much better off to have purpose and direction and a sense of importance and value.

Wouldn't this be a practical way to fill many of the sit down jobs.
Yes they might have to be retrained, but new personnell would anyway.

What do you think?

You liberals give me a great laugh whenever you suggest that we must "negotiate" with these demons overseas! What's wrong with old fashioned war? How did negotiations work out for Nevile Chamberlain with the Nazi's?

It's like Napoleon once said: "the price of victory is BLOOD."

Are you guys going to question NAPOLEONS record as a military leader?
