He's a correctional officer and is level 3 certified security officer.....are there ANY jobs he'd qualify in that don't put him in direct harm?

Your question seems to have brought out a couple jerks, but don't worry, hon.

I bet he could land a job working in the Green Zone as a security officer. Probably supervising other guards. My ex did contract work with KBR, but they don't call it "Brothers and Relatives" for no reason. Contractor jobs are often about who you know -- although that may not be so true these days with all the bad press...

You can do a web search on the main companies, including:

Halliburton / Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR)
ITT
CSA
can't recall the rest, someone help me out here?

As for the military, he is really well qualified to be an MP. They also have correctional MPs.

Good luck!

It sounds like your husband has never been to Iraq. Been there, done that more than once. The middle east is no joke, so if you don't want him to be in harm's way then he should try one of the security contracting jobs in Kuwait. Most of them are prior military but they will also hire very qualified civilians. There is no such thing as a "safe" job over there , so bear that in mind when making your decision to work over there. Insurance is also an issue because unlike the military, if you get hurt or injured the contractor jobs can terminate you if you get hurt on the job. It is written in their conditions of employment. Try some of the below listed links and good luck!!!

Have him join the US Army and volunteer for Iraq, he'll get to help those wonderful people and his president........oh, but I forgot, that won't work, because he's into patriotism for the big bucks. How about going to work in California at San Quentin, that's the next best thing to serving in Iraqnam.....oh i forgot, he wants to free the iraqis, be patriotic and above all else....make big bucks.
