I assume it's just like the Barbara Streisand and Dixie Chicks thing. Anything that supports liberals or says something against the Bush administration is automatically evil and corrupt?
Wow, and conservatives wonder why people say they are closed-minded. Gimme a break.

In the film the Godfather, the mafia has sided with the militatary dictatorship in Cuba and are ready to take over the country and set up casinos and make gambling legal. The soldiers have captured a rebel who is marched toward jail but before anyone knows he detonates a bomb strapped to his body killing himself and several soldiers. Micheal Coleone is in a car and see this happen and says to the man next to him, "are the soldiers paid to fight" the man says "yes", "are the rebels", the man replies "no". Micheal then says "it's time to leave". There are many people on here who say "we should be doing this" or "we should be doing that" in Iraq but i believe the Muslims will fight and die for their cause and not for money but the neo-nazis on here wouldn't volunteer for anything, especially now that the Army needs them. Your thoughts.

...or Nader.

it does certainly seem like the only reason why people like Obama is because he's black, his political caliber is less of an issue; if he was white, people wouldn't like him nearly as much. Hilary, to me at least, seems the better canidate.

International terrorism, domestic terrorism, acute poverty, a sky-high crime rate, deep and entrenched political and social divisions, corrupt politicians and governments, corporate control of government, pervasive racism, secular enmity toward religion (and the other way around), ... and on and on.

As the political factions get more and more entrenched, American society sinks into the abyss.

I hate to break it to you folks... but it's not supposed to be like this. In most modern countries it's not like this... nothing to this degree and nothing that has so thoroughly woven its destructive effects throughout the culture.

How bad does it have to get before people start to wake up and start working on the problems, instead of just adding to them?

Will Democrats and Republics insist on their diametric opposition to each other until there's nothing left to fight for?

I ask this in lite of the 3 border agents in prison over the Mexican border incidents. La Raza never offered any help to them or their familes. How does La Raza work? Would it not be right to offer them any form of help as human beings for helping Hispanics? I saw this piece on Lou Dobbs.

They get media coverage for being ENTERTAINERS - not political figures. Yet the drugged out immoral high school drop-outs of the left coast seem to think they need to weigh in on our President and that WE CARE what they think.
YOU PRETEND for a living and most of you are dumb as a box of rocks. Just entertain us BUT if you want to make a political statement - buy an ad or write to the Editor like I have to do.

UGLY BETTY star America Ferrera:
In the scripted exchange, Braff asked: “So do you think that you have any traits in common with the country that is your namesake?” Ferrera replied: “I guess I'm a free-spirited person and America's supposedly the 'land of the free,' right?” She then added, to loud applause from the left coast film industry audience: “Or at least we will be in 2008.”

I have some True/False questions from Business Law class that are tricky for me. Could anyone help me answer these questions?
Thank you so much.

True/False:
1. The jury, being the sole finder of fact in a civil case, is free in the course of its deliberations, in arriving at the verdict, to disregard the judge's instructions and pronouncements as to the law.

2. As part of the checks and balances of our federal system, the President has inherent powers to determine the constitutionality of actions of the executive branch of government and, thus, can refuse to abide by decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court questioning the President's authority, particularly if the President believes such actions are in the best interests of the American people.

3. In a diversity case brought in the U.S. District Court of Western Washington, wherein it is alleged that the defendent has breached plaintiff's contract for consulting services, the court will apply the federal common law.
