I assume it's just like the Barbara Streisand and Dixie Chicks thing. Anything that supports liberals or says something against the Bush administration is automatically evil and corrupt?

I'm conservative and I never thought of Hollywood as corrupt or evil, just a land of morons.

They should get with it. The number one export from the
United States is movies. One of the few things still made
in the USA, because of outsourcing.
At least Hollywood votes for outstanding work that has already
been completed, unlike politicians who want your vote for
empty promises.
Al Gore deserves an Oscar, if for no other reason, for caring.
Most conservatives on this website are too young to be familiar
with Oscar winning work from Barbara Streisand.
Her song "People" will live on forever.
The Dixie Chicks won the Grammy because the album they
made was great, but not many people have actually heard it.

Conservatives have always thought of people in Hollywood as being corrupt.
Many were even blacklisted by the studios during WWII for being Communist sympathizers or members of the Communist party and money was being funneled from there. It's got nothing to do with Al Gore and that ASSumption is ridiculous.

Hollywood has always been corrupt....ever see the cover of People or the tabloids....yet they want to impart social norms...great. Hollywood is full of the ultimate elitists. They make mroe money that they would ever deserve (conservative or liberal) and try and act like they know what is best for the masses. They are the ultimate in hypocracy. Save the environment--painted on the side of teir personal jet that uses more fuel in one trip than I do in a year. They spew out horrible role models that erode the values in our country. The secular progressive movement is pushing us away from the foundation that made this the greatest nation on earth.

Are you kidding?? Conservatives have known for years that Hollywood was so Liberal to the point of being totally out of touch with the rest of America. I don't necessarily think that means they are corrupt, but their resulting extreme Leftist/Socialist idealogy is definitely not good for America. Consequently, that the Hollywood elite embraces Al Gore is no surprise...just proof of what we have always known.

The line of demarcation between the Reps and Dems has always been clear especially in Hollywood. Most of the actors are liberals. They can afford to be with their multi-million dollar bank accounts. I believe that most of them are frauds. I am not impressed with the Reps either.

Its not that hollywood is corrupt its that they have no moral values and support the enemy we are fighting against. You liberals think what you are doing is helping the country, but its doing way more damage than good. Why support the enemy we are fighting against instead of your own country. Hollywood is one of the reasons Muslims hate us. No moral values at all.

Typical liberal thinking! Look at Paris Hilton, you want your daughter taking after her? Or maybe like Britney Spears or whoever did that crotch shot? The list grows longer everyday of those checking into rehab it would seem drugs and drunks are their style. This includes our sports figures. So don't give me that about us conservatives. Conservatives are just trying to shut up liberals-in Hollywood or anywhere else. Liberal professors are being fired for linking history & politics which are always linked. Caught a bit of the Fox Hollywood bit-what a pack of lies. McCarthyism is back.

Conservatives have always known that liberals have an agenda and shove it on unsuspecting people. They do it in schools, tv, newspapers, colleges, etc.
I am close-minded because I have beliefs that I am firm with. I am not open to drug use because it offers nothing for me. I am not open to promiscuity because those who are cannot have normal relationships. I live a fulfilled life as a narrow-minded person.
