Its a good point. But its very rare not to be granted bail in UK. Most are held on remand because they are repeat offenders, or they have admitted guilt and awaiting trial, or they are a danger to themselves or society. But Good point!

I think you mean on remand awaiting trial.It is not a matter of proving your innocence but it is sensible to hold a crimminal who may be a risk to others or liable to escape justice.Most people are released on bail awaiting trial.

Yes for example if the police think you kill someone you go to jail till you pruve with you lawyer otherwise, that is how the sistem works, and you have to understand it because if someone is free before hes trial of a murder case, if he is inocent he will not be in court, and that is why you get to go to jail till the court day comes. And stay in jail during the proses too.

That can be true but it is better to put a man with an axe behind bars for a day or so even though it has not yet been proved that he has chopped up his family.
