It scares the heck out of me to read some of the answers on here. Are people who think it is wrong to question or speak against a president's decisions in danger of following another "Hitler" type leader? Blind allegiance is a frightening prospect!

I'm taking AP government right now and this question was brought up during class. I just wanted to see how other people felt about the national government getting involved in an issue that is supposed to be controlled by local and state governments.

my nephew has seen 3 tours of Iraq and said that IF the guys were allowed to do their jobs, we could've been home 2 years ago. What do you think?

Tell me what you think. Canadian news agencies reported today that Algore has been issuing demands from his living room in Tennessee to the Canadian Parliament regarding their nation's policy on global warming. Today Canadian Prime Minister Harper issued a statement in Ottawa "telling Algore where to put it". Your comments are appreciated.

I'm trying to find out how long alabama will hold someone. My brother got pulled over in Alabama and they ran his info and he turned up with a warrant in Missouri. He has waived extradition and we are just trying to figure out how long alabama will hold him waiting for Missouri. I searched here on answers, and also googled but I cannot seem to find a site that can answer this for me (or I'm just missing it somewhere) Any info or sites you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

I got a pulled over today for speeding but the police officer just gave me a warning. It was my first time getting pulled over. Can anyone tell me what that really means though? Do they keep track of those? Will anyone (like my insurance company) be told about it? Was that my get-out-of-jail-free card and if i get pulled over again I will definately get another ticket? I live in Indiana if that makes a difference. I just want to know if anything really bad is going to come out of this...like my parents finding out.

I have something going on with my phone- I have local calls only, with AT&T, and don't have long distance. I have had a couple of situations happen recently with family members, one was in a car wreck, the other had a very bad breakup and divorce looming- Can my phone line possibly be tapped without government knowledge or permission? I hear what amounts to a "small beep" followed by a "larger beep" quite often, and the person whom I am talking to doesn't hear it. It's dam scary. I haven't done anything wrong- has anyone ever heard of this sort of thing? I am really concerned, and am afraid to say anything on the phone, that might be misconstrued...I have thought about calling my phone carrier with this question, but they will probably blow me off, cause as most of us know, customer service seems to be a thing of the past....any ideas?
