According to VoteToImpeach.org over 700,000 people have already signed their petition to impeach him. Although there are numerous reasons Bush should be impeached and punished, there is general agreement that the 4 main categories of his high crimes and misdemeanors involve dragging the U.S. into a war with Iraq based on systematic lying; the illegal wiretapping of American citizens; committing war crimes like having citizens of other countries tortured; and blatant and continuous violation of international treaties. If you want to get into all the specifics, plus other probable criminal charges, take a look at this. (And none of this is off-the-wall-stuff like him being in on 9-11. This is just the stuff we're sure of, not the wild theories... not that I'm discounting them.

They can use force in connection with self-defense, but a country can't use force in anticipation of self-defense. Regarding Iraq, the last Security Council resolution essentially said, 'Look, send the weapons inspectors out to Iraq, have them come back and tell us what they've found -- then we'll figure out what we're going to do. The U.S. was impatient, and decided to invade Iraq -- which was all pre-arranged of course. So, the United States went to war, in violation of the charter."
