i don't think that people should really be worrying about the gender of the candidate. whoever can do the job best should win, plain and simple. although i am not stupid and know that that never has and never will be the case... girl president is just kind of a generic term... i personally do not like hillary clinton and do not want her to become president. yes the "girl power" thing comes into play, but feminists scare me, so umm yeah... but that being said, if condoleeza rice ran for president, i would support her because i like her... im fine with a female president, just not hillary

Read up on Margret Thatcher... She was prime minster of the UK for a very long time. Whether or not she was a good leader is debatable, but that's one example of a woman taking charge of a country. Unlike Bush she actually won a war too. There will never be a poltician that everyone is happy with though.

I would rather have a woman president or just an adult in office. We've seen how things can go wrong with a boy child president with GWB, it would be nice to have a grown up in office after 7 years of a juvenile delinquent crime spree.

Same as I feel about having a "boy" president. No way, Jose! As for a WOMAN president, I have no problems with that, if it was the RIGHT woman. However, my definition of "right" would be someone more like Margret Thatcher or Golda Meier than Hillary Clinton!

Ok ladies, I know you're all going to be pissed at me for this but I do not think we should have a woman president. Too many women make decisions based on emotions. That psycho astronaut is a good example, look how educated and responsible she "appeared" to be and when it came to a dude she was lusting after she turned psycho.

A "girl"? Like a 15 year old? Not a good idea, but better than Obama and Hillary put together. A mature woman would be OK though.

Bad idea. I don't want a boy president either. It's a job for adults only. Minimum age 35.

When we get over 30, we prefer to be called women. A woman president would rock, and we are way behind the rest of the world for not having had one.

I don't think I would be too comfortable with a "girl" president, But a woman may be o.k. but i'm not 100% convinced on that.

Presumably you are a girl, why don't you tell us from first hand experience how you think a female would work out in this position.

In fact this is a question that I would like to see a complete female response to.
