A critical aspect to democracy is an informed electorate. In the US, people rely on the media too much and dont bother checking the facts. In the 2000 elections, Al Gore was misquoted time and time again, that now everyone repeats the "he invented the internet" right wing mantra. In fact he as a Vice President had a substantial role in creating the infrastructure which is now the Internet. I guess most in the US are too stupid to understand what the Internet is.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Sophisticated Iranian-built bombs smuggled into Iraq have killed at least 170 US and allied soldiers since June 2004 and wounded 620 more, senior US defence officials have said.

"Iran is involved in supplying explosively formed projectiles or EFPs and other material to Iraqi extremist groups," a senior official in the multinational coalition told journalists Sunday on condition of anonymity.

The above is a news cut out -

I am just curious with all the small signs in the media how many people realise war with Iran is coming soon - Not if but when .

Other than an increase in terrorisim throughout the world what will be the after math of this war - Oil p[rrices will sky rocket unless the Allied forces can capture the flow source(s) outbound in the first couple of days or hopefully hours.

Russia may play a part in this so may China and N Korea or the invasion of Iran might come with the you can be next warning.

Nukes? Conventional

These celebrities are worth millions. Why don't they just feed all these kids themselves. If you add up all their incomes together it would come to billions. Don't get me wrong I don't like to see children living in poverty either but these celebrities are just plain annoying!

What would be the best way to get him to?

Dont you think Al Gore-Obama would devastate anything the republicans can offer?

Experience with a Vision, that would be their slogan.

Do you think it will be better, worse? I think the president of Iraq will be gone, I don't see him hanging around for much longer.
But I wonder about our troops. Do you think they'll be home in two years?

1) Why they call O' Bama a black president. He is mixed. Shouldn't we equally be calling him White.

What is the deal here? I say we call him mixed, not white, not black but Mixed.

2) Just because he has a muslim connection, he is facing a witch hunt by media. If he had Jewish or Christian connection, it wouldn't matter. Similar to VIrgil Goode nonsense.

Please give me your thoughts on those two points.

I am white and roman catholic, not that it matters.

thank you.

I know this subject is very sensitive for many people, and I apologize in advance if I offend anyone. I guess my question should be directed to the higher ups in the military, but since you wonderful people are all I have, here goes. Six-eight months ago our soldiers went into Falleujah to clean out the the city of insurgents. We did this; then we left; then the insurgents returned, only to pick up where they left off. I understand and appreciate that we have to be very careful not to injure any civilians. We cannot just "bombs away" indiscriminently, but why didn't we bull doze every building that housed insurgents as soon as they left? Not civilians, but insurgents? Reduce the buildings to rubble; clean out any ammunitions they left behind. This way when they returned, they couldn't pick up where they left off. Don't we have heavy equipment over there to do this? It seems like we are making double work for ourselves.

I want to be certain, since I read signs that even pretending to buy tobacco products is illegal and I'm wondering if that can also apply to lighters. I don't want to be in court.

My ex husband and his family want me removed from the property. Eight years ago, they gave me an immoveable mobile home under my name. It is immoveable, because my ex and I built an addition to the back part of it, and I put on a whole new roof which supports itself over my home. Now they expect me to move it and they have rail-roaded me out of it and they cut my electric power off my meter box. The electric company did not do anything and I was escorted off the property by the sheriff. I had settled, to leave and we had agreed I had until April 1 to remove my home in pieces. I filed an apeal because they did not file the papers on the agreement we made when I settled to move. Ten days after the settlement they cut my electricity off. The meter is under my name and my light bill is current, now I can not even connect a power tool to help with the removal of my home. My fish are dead, my dog has a broken leg, and my cat is scared half to death. We just want to live, but they hurt us.
