Yes we should, seeing as 51% of the population of the US is female.

Will it happen? Not in my lifetime...people don't like strong, intelligent women, evidenced by all the Clinton and Pelosi bashing which are less substance and mostly derogatory.

1-is there an opening

2- does it really matter what a persons gender is, and should this be a consideration for appointing someone to the supreme court?

3- As conservative women are a true minority in this country I think another conservative female on the supreme court is a great idea!

Why more females? I want the most competent people on the supreme court. If they happen to be women, so be it, but I'm not going to endorse someone, simply because they're female.

It shouldn't be about male or female. It should be about who is best qualified. Its discrimination against males to say that females are more deserving of a judicial post.

forcing the president to elect justices soley because they are female or black or hispanic is contrary to the idea of electing the BEST quailified candidates; yet should one of the forementioned type of people actually be the most quailified they SHOULD NOT be overlooked simply because of their genes, race or color.

Yes we should, but Liberal Democrats want to keep qualified female judges like Janice Rogers Brown and Percilla Owen off the court.

That's a great idea. Why don't we just continue to choose people on their gender and race? I guess that it doesn't matter if they're the most qualified!
