It seems to me that the growing discontent over the war coupled with the Dem victory in the House and Senate has led the Dem party to believe that they are an in for 08. I believe this is why they have the 2 biggest underdogs in the press so far; a black Muslim & a women who has been largely disliked for years.

The problem with this logic as I see it is most Americans are more interested in superficial things such as American Idol & Justin Timberlake to pay much attention to politics. Therefore it's a sad fact that many voters are intensely swayed by name recognition & vague basic stats or emotional ties to each candidate.

Regardless of the growing discontent with the war, I do not believe most Americans will elect a Muslim. Bush got reelected after all.

I think if Giuliani whom everyone knows & holds with positive emotional connotations (911) comes in, the election will go Rep. against the polls and odds.

I hate bush with a passion, I am a proud democrat, he aint my president but I do support our efforts in Iraq, but our president needs to know is that you can't win the war on terror it aint gonna happen in a million years. I am sorry to say but it's the truth, Terror is here to stay whether we like it or not. Let's train the iraq army and get the hell out of there, It seems like we are fighting more then training.

Anyone else notice how no democrat or black person said anything about Biden's comments about Obama being clean, yet when Bush said Obama was articulate and a great speaker he was blasted as a racist by the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton? Does anyone else see this as a double-standard? Are both statements equal, or did both men misspeak?

I am most likely being stalked by my local police department.

I live in the suburbs and my local law enforcement can be rediculous at times. I have seen them stop shop lifters with about ten armed cops, in multiple vehicles (they stepped out, lots of cops guns drawn and they dropped soem stuff), this is normal behavior for my local PD.

I really have no problem with law enforcement, I totally agree they get a lot of unneccessary grief from people.

I HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD (NO CONVICTIONS, NO TRIALS, NO TICKETS ETC.)

I have encountered them on several occassions over the past several years. I leave these encounters vague as to protect my own privacy.

I will say however that police records would not shed positive light on the local police department's ability to objectively handle situations without prejedice and bias.

I don't want to waste my time with them but I keep finding myself being tailed by them and so forth. How do I adress this to a higher authority if neccessary?

I know there are all types of discrimination. Does anyone have any knowledge whether one can be disciminated against for medical incapabilities? If so do certain psychological disorders count? If this is happens is there anything one can do about it, or is it a waste of time?

If we have the police to put away people, why are there social workers that can take children away? I mean if the parents are not criminals why such a harsh judgement? The government is tearing families apart.
I believe a parent should face their consequences with the police before loosing children.

I have my children and no involvement. However, I know people that have lost their children because they would not use medications such as Ritalin. Shouldn't these choices be made by the parent? Is it really worth $65/hr for each Social Worker when it comes to these choices?

If the president came out and gave the public a vote on 3 options in Iraq, what would you vote, and do you support this idea?

1. Completely pull out every troop right now.
2. Drop leafletts telling citzens to get out and then drop enough bombs (or nukes) to just level Iraq and kill every person left there.
3. Send more troops like currently planned and stay the course.


Side Question-- With the rising power and vast army of the chinese, and all the countries that are starting to become nuclear... On the way to work this morning, I heard some idiot conservative radio host say that we shouln't worry about oil supplies because there is more than enough to last us the next 50 years.

The problem is - he was RIGHT.

So what happens on year 51 - when I and those of my generation are dead, and our grandchildren are trying to survive?
