Did anyone in the White House Know what this man was doing? Was he doing their bidding?

"HAGERSTOWN, Maryland (AP) -- The only U.S. military officer charged with a crime in the Abu Ghraib scandal will be court-martialed on eight charges, including cruelty and maltreatment of prisoners, the Army said Friday.

Lt. Col. Steven Lee Jordan, a 50-year-old reservist from Virginia who ran the interrogation center at the Iraqi prison, was accused of failing to exert his authority as the place descended into chaos, with prisoners stripped naked, photographed in humiliating poses and intimidated by snarling dogs. He was also charged with lying to investigators.

He has not been accused of personally torturing or humiliating prisoners, and was not pictured in any of the photos that embarrassed the Pentagon and shocked the Muslim world."

Abortion is a medical procedure that should only be discussed between the woman and her doctor. I have no right to infringe in her privacy. I would not want anyone to violate my rights and tell me what to do with my body. I have no right taking away a female's rights, born or unborn.

But I am AGAINST abortion. I totally despise abortion and if I were a woman would never have one. BUT then again I am not a woman and would never know how it is to be one and will NOT JUDGE the circumstances of their abortion: whether they were raped, whether the pregancy will hurt her and the child's health or whatever, that is NOT my business. It is a medical procedure btwn her and her doc.

I am not pretentious enough to think that others cannot think for theirselves to be morally right. I have belief in other people and the choices they make.
So in conclusion I am pro choice, since Jesus said not to judge... but AGAINST abortion. Does that make sense?

I am a US citizen and I have a job offer to work full time in Canada and going by CIC's online assessment, it looks like I qualify to be considered as a SKILLED WORKER applicant. I have the following questions to help me figure out what I would need to do to secure my stay in Canada:

1) What fees am I looking to pay? Medical? Any type of VISA fees? Police records?

2) Would I be able to stay with a friend in Canada while I work there or would I need my own residence?

3) I read that you need proof of financial status to show that you can support yourself in Canada, but If I have a job offer, as long as it covers the minimum needed, is that enough proof?

4) What would I have to do if I wanted to get another job in Canada in case I wanted to leave the job I was given?

Any other information I need to know or that can be of some help to me, would be much appreciated. If I can think of other questions, I'll just add them later. :P Thanks in advance. :)

I don't understand why any crime would have a statute of limitations, which essentially means that if you can get away with a crime for a certain period of time, you can no longer be prosecuted. Why would our nation's lawmakers allow people to get away with their cimes?

A few years ago my Mother moved in with her boyfriend due to ill health. My Sister and I were left to sell Mums house. Recently we have received a letter from a solicitor saying that the people who bought the house from us are suing us because of the noisy neighbours. While Mum lived in the house she sometimes complained about the neighbours being noisy and generally anti-social. She even contacted the local police station to see if they could help.
We are really quite shocked that now after 4 years the people who bought the house are asking for compensation because we failed to inform them of the neighbours.
Where do we stand? Mum is too ill do go to court and I am lost as what to do.

My boyfriend is current at bootcamp && today is the day he meets his D.I. , so i was curious about the kind of mind games they play on the recruits.

The recruiter told us that the DI`s would put u in a charge and then fire you the next day to see how you take it.

i'm surprised nobody has asked this. My personal opinion is that it should be illegal. Maybe it's cuz im a Christian (i dont go to church every Sunday, i curse all the damn time, and no, i'm not brainwashed by the Church). In my opinion it's murder, just legal murder, and as moost of u hopefully know, murder is bad. It has nothing to do with a woman's right to choose, equality is cool, i just think that the child has a right to have life. No one should have the authority to choose if an unborn child lives or dies, only God should have that kind of power and authority. And another thing, damn these stupid-*** extreme Christian groups who bomb abortion clinics, u do know that there are other ways to get abortion to be illegal. Also....... Hilary Clinton should burn. :)
Peace!!
