Absolutely. The city of DC has enough residents to qualify as a congressional district, and it is in the continental US. The fact that their representative has no voting privileges is just absurd. The idea that they don't deserve representation because they do not live "in a state" is just silly. They already have a congressman - he just can't vote.

Edit: Complaining about adding stars to the flag is the worst reason in the world to deny half a million people representation in congress.

As for electoral votes - DC already has 3 electoral votes because of a little thing called the 23rd amendment.

I think the status quo is fairly decent - but the DC representative in the House should be given full voting rights. I think adding 2 members to the senate would be kind of silly.

I am an independent but I usually vote Democrat and have never voted for a Republican (I've voted for Independence Party candidates, Libertarians, Democrats, and Greens).

Well, if your a republican your probadly thinking no because DC would never vote for republican and 3 electrocal votes do make a difference in presidental elections nowdays. I say keep as it is because we dont need to add stars to the flag right now.

Absolutely not. The Constitution meant "state" in those places it uses the word, not "or some approximation thereof".

I'm a Republican.
