Is it possible to become an officer with an associates degree?

not in the Marines. they are goverened by Navy regs, and the Navy requires their commissioned Officers to have 4 year degrees.

HOWEVER, you can become a Warrant Officer with just a 2 year degree, but this typically entails being enlisted for several years first. That regulatrion may be changing in the fututre, though.

The Army has it's High School to Flight School program.. you can fly hekos as a Warrant straight out of high school, no degree required(at first).

In the Army, I believe there are possibilities. In the Marines, there are not as of yet and I wouldn't hold your breath. However, there are ways to earn your B.S./B.A. and do it as a Marine. Look up NROTC (marine option) or PLC program, or other officer accession programs.

The simple answer is yes. A person would have to continue with their education but it is possible.
