I need this for a proposition paper in debate and I need points for both sides. Please, if possible, add facts and figures. And also, where can I find good sources for information about this? Thanks!

pulling them out will be disastrous. Even democrats will tell you that, why do you think they haven't done it, nor proposed it. You will have militias fighting for power, and there will be even more chaos. Maybe if there was more support not only in our own country, but in the rest of the free world, then maybe we could have more troops there, such as the 300,000 someone above said was needed to win. Instead, we have a nation who wants to embarrass this President for liberating a country from a tyrant and pull out. Whether your a Republican or Democrat, most people want to support our troops and agree that removing Saddam Hussein was for the better of Iraq and the rest of the world.

We should stay and win.

Saddam paid every family of a suicide bomber $10,000. Though he wasn't the largest supporter of terrorism he certainly backed them.
He was the easiest target to beat and save American lives by making Iraq the catalyst for political change throughout the Middle East.

A free Iraq with all Iraqi citizens receiving their fare share of oil revenue checks (as in Kuwait) will destabilize the Iranian government causing a thereat from within their own country.

Destabilizing Iran automatically weakens the foundation of the Syrian government.

These are the 2 largest contributors to terrorists. This has been the strategy from day one but the current administration cannot come right out and speak these words.

This will cause the monies flowing like a river to Al-Quaeda, Hezbollah, and Ham mas to be reduced to a dripping faucet.

The war in Iraq has been about undermining the terrorist supporting countries of the entire Middle East and is a logical step to end the source of money to terrorist organizations.

Once again...a free Iraq is their worst nightmare.

God Bless

Hi.and yes we should pull out slowly only after their government has a handle on what it needs .Right now they are lost without us it's crazy their as I am sure you know.Imagine we only get to see so much then the rest is censored. If we left like we did in Vietnam they would fall apart.A dictator far smarter and more ruthless than Saddam would take over and total kaos would accrue. We must help them develop a government that is not corrupt. The soldiers need a break, but just leaving all those lives lost would be for nothing. You can find info at Military.com you can become a member and they woll send you daily reports all you need is an e-mail address and agree to their little terms which isn't crap. They have good info I'm sure you can use .Good luck.

This may not help you any but it is my input. someone asked what would we look like now if we pulled out in the mist of helping Iraq's people? It is know and have been said by some of the soldiers, that when the US first got to iraqm the Iraqis were happy, not that we found and bought Saddam Hussein down, NOW IT IS, THEY WANT US GONE, it seems that these people don't want our help. because war and death is all they know, as some point in time we need to recognize this, it seems that these people are not trying to do anything to help themselves, but as soon as more trouble hits, they are calling on our soldiers.

Maybe I am wrong for saying this and if so God forgive me, but something are better left to it's own devices, people who glorifies death, kill others with no remorse, ect, we should have no parts with them, their beliefs are totally against everything we believe in,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I will leave this along, because we had no business there in the beginning not for this reason. SAD, IMHO

Pull them out ASAP. As US generals said even before the war in Iraq started, you need at least 300,000 US troops to even think about winning and since Bush will never have even close to that many troops in Iraq, ever, fighting with half that amount is totally pointless because you can't win the war with so few US troops. It's that simple.

what amazes me is the fact that the people who want the military out are mainly those who would never choose to fight for this country. We're already there. You want them out? Then fly out to iraq and knock on the door of every person who has schools, fresh water and food and tell them that the military has to get out because bono and the rest of the Hollywood idiots don't think this is a particularly "sexy" war.

We will pull them out as soon as the job is done,--an I hope not a day sooner.

How would you like to have someone offer to help you then back out in the middle of the help? That's the kind of stuff that raises hell with our reputation.

we can't pull them out now - it will tell the terrorists they won. Actually we can never leave there - because they will always be there. We should have just assassinated saddam and not even went in.

No because it would hurt the cause that has already taken so many lives. It would destroy the country and let the bad people take over again. Why can't anyone else see this? All they see are the people dying they don't pay attention to the cause of why they are dying. All those people Saddam killed. All those that he oppressed and no one else thinks it was a good cause to throw him out of power. Man come on it was all over the news. How many people have to suffer genocide before others feel the same way I do.
