Man its terrible,i work but dont get any taxes back,i cant get a drivers license,came here with a visa 9 years ago and still considered illegal,visa not expired but stay of 6 months is long overdue.I cant get some jobs but i can get some low paying ones.i really want to go to college but i cant,im no different than any of my classmates however im discriminated by this bullshit.I have no diminishes or convictions in my record,i never had any problems with the cops.I get A+'s and A's and my lowest grade was a B- because my partner didnt do his part of a project.I speak very good english and you may see but i need to struggle everyday when i need to go to work and can't because i dont drive.I'll be 18 and never driven a car before yet my life is cars.I love everything about them,i want to be a mechanic and be active in motorsports but i wont get far as an immigrant.How sad is that,to be 18 and have never driven before.This is only some of the problems I face.I notice many people don't like immigrants because they sneak in but I didn't sneak in and even it wouldn't matter because when i came here, it wasnt like this.I think Mr.Bush should at least give people who have lived here most of their lifes citizenship.He also needs to pass the Dream Act so that immigrants can come here legally and stay for 3 years and then go back to their native country. We only come here for work really,im not going to lie but i come here for an education and i am being threated unfairly. Most people immigrate here to do jobs Americans won't do .Dont bullshit me but you couldnt find housecleaners,cooks, contruction workers etc... that would do these jobs 100 hours a week and accept the low pay. Janitors are the jobs no one wants to have but someone needs to do it so who wants a job?immigrants and people say their taking your jobs from you but we all know many of these jobs coulndt be done by an american. Maybe it could but it would only be a few, not a lot. Immigrants stay by the corner at 7am waiting for a job.They will do anything. This is kind of a generalization so dont take me wrong but you get the idea.IF we all were to go back tomorrow,your economy would be in deep ****. No plans or acts can save you guys from an economic depression.I dont get it sometimes.But its life what can you do.Its not easy being an immigrant.Going back isnt really an option. If you come from brazil,to survive you have to either A)Come from a rich family with a business. B)Know how to play soccer really well. or C) Come to america and work.

Yes, I think that it would be difficult to come to the United States illegally and try to make a life for yourself and your family. Without legal status here, it is difficult to find decent paying jobs with fair work conditions. It would always be a good idea to follow the laws and correct procedure for entering and visiting the US. This way you may not lose the right to remain here.
There is a lot of opportunity in America and I personally feel that immigrants help build a better economy.
Some of the people here on Yahoo Answers really need to stop belittling immigrants. Strategies that help immigrants participate fully in the financial mainstream benefit not just immigrants, but all residents of the communities where they live.

First, start by learning about The United States of America, http://www.usa.gov/visitors/about.shtml

then learn about coming here legally to work, with a work visa (or any other suitable visa);

There are many organization that can assist with the process;

Good luck to you!

I'm not an illegal immigrant, but I know some illegal immigrants and I do not approve of them coming to our country illegally. I can tell you that I know that their lives as illegals is not easy and while some "posers" on this forum try to push our buttons and pretend that they are illegals and say they are "taking over," etc., these are not the real feelings of most illegal immigrants. Most illegal immigrants live here scared every day. They can never really rest and relax and feel that there is a certainty to their futures. They have to constantly be looking over their shoulders. If they brought their illegal children here, as well, they also have to worry for them, knowing every day that their whole lives could implode, without warning. From where most of these people come, they are not used to any kinds of feelings of normalcy or security, so it is probably not as bad for them as we would imagine such a life for ourselves. In reality, their bubble could pop at any moment, without any warning, so they have to always live with that adrenalin rushing through their veins. All it takes is for someone to shout "Immigre!" and they drop what they are doing and run. How much fun is that? Not much, I dare say! Regardless, I feel no sympathy for them and do not want anything to occur to reduce their feelings of fear and insecurity; in fact, I hope their feelings of trepidation only grow daily and that they never can look forward to feelings of safety and security as long as they are in our country illegally. If they love the USA and really want to be here, then I want them to return to their own country and apply to come here the right way. Only then would I welcome them with open arms.

I love immigrants - hate illegal immigrants! No amnesty, ever again!

it is a very hard life for them. fake social security cards can only get you a job and even then you have the worry that you will get deported and leave behind you're family having wasted 3,000 dollars on paying a coyote to pass you across the border. QUIT STEREOTYPING all you "19 to an apartment" pieces of ****.

Why pay when you can get under a gate for free. And why apply when you don't want to learn basic english - and speak it fluently. They prefer to stay in their own world speak among themselves help themselves to U.S. jobs and demand we speak fluent spanish to them.
