It is very simple. The US border patrol has had one priority over the last few decades.....PROTECTION. Canada's border guards had one priority over the years as well, TAXATION. The us seperates these two completely, while in Canada, our border guards fell under the Tax department. So why do US border guards have more info then Canadians? They actually care who gets into their country!!
