I am an American citizen in LOVE with a French man. We have been seeing eachother until he was finally REFUSED entry to the US because of his numerous visits and they found out he did little freelance jobs too. I have not finished my studies so i cannot really go to him as much.

We have decided to just marry to make our situation better. (we were planning to marry anyways) I understand its easier to marry in the foreign country. So i plan to do it, but how long and is it expensive for the process to go through? Is it better to use an immigration lawyer? We want to be together asap!

Also, i may not have enough income to show i can support him too, so can my parents file their incomes too?

Anyone with info, i'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks, and please dont leave your immature and stupid comments if you intend on it.

For example, we tell kids that premarital sex is wrong, but adultery & fornication aren't a crime and are promoted all over television and rather lightly thought of in society. The bible teaches that people were made in God's image & likeness, God made everything good and that homosexuality is an abomination; yet, being "gay" is legal in this country, while simple nudity (--not a sin ),is mostly illegal & frowned upon as being gross ( -- hmm, so people think God's likeness is gross??). Kids are taught to be nonviolent, yet they have free access to MUCH violence in TV shows, movies & video games (at home, public computers, theaters). Do some celebrities cry "gun control" & promote violence in their shows/movies? Why are actors "popular", in politics, about things they're ignorant about? Women cry "equal rights" & deny it to men in areas like childcare & parental rights. Often, bad crimes are little-punished while lesser crimes or non-crimes get big punishments.

No matter ones opinion about the war, the surge, the consequences of failure, or transferring a growing war debt to future generations -- we are there now. Who can argue that focusing all efforts and most resources on resolution would be wrong? And, none could be accused of cutting fund for military.

This is a long and drawn out situation that some in my family are dealing with currently. My sister and her children are being evicted from my grandparents old house (they died a year ago) and my sister has been making the house payments even though the house is not in her name. My father and his sister have legally gotten a eviction notice naming them landlords to go to an eviction hearing. She never verbally agreed or signed any rental agreement with them. Nor has she paid them any money directly. She basically took over care of the house and payment responsibilities.

Other information: Father has his name on the bank loan. House has had very poor upkeep from the owner (sister has had to repair everything.) Grandparents had no will, but my sister has lived in the house for many years taking care of the house and my grandparents when they were dying.

Anyways just wanted to see some options that she may have before she contacts a lawyer.

I am so sick of all this pedophiles and and sex scandals! Once a month there's another elected official being busted for one thing or another. Now me I feel someone who runs for public office should be of a higher moral and ethical level than I am. No ones perfect but if were going to demand background and drug testing for our school teachers should we demand the same of our lawmakers!

If an offensive word is used for a person's race or sexual orientation, we react as if the words were machine gun bullets. Meanwhile innocent children are shot and murdered by consciousless gang members, and we take them to trial only to release them back on the streets. Is something messed up here, or am I missing something?

Then how come these same people only endorse white canidates. Jesse Jackson has great things to say but you never hear the Clintons or Bushes giving them support.

Why or why not? Please avoid slipery slope or bandwagon arguments, as these are logically fallible.

Judge wants to send my teen with Conduct disorder to Residential treatment center 300 miles away from my home. He plans on his decision next month. I found a Residential center that my insurance will pay 100%, and 38 miles away. Would it be appropriate to send Judge a letter informing him that I've decided to place her in a different RTC than what he may order? My child is in serious need of treatment, and her placement could occur 5 days before his decision. I'm not wanting to step on his toes per say, but his idea of RTC will not allow for my participation in her recovery due to distance. I'm putting in urgent calls to her probation officer, and she's not returning my calls. But in court she tells the Judge that my child is high on her list. But she's not high enough when I place urgent callls for her to return my call. I'm not indigent, and I don't need the state to pay for the mental health of my child. What should I do? Am I wrong for overstepping his choice?

My little sister was in Wegmans one day with a friend and my daughter. Her friend stole something and my sister being an accomplice ended up with an endangering the welfare of a child charge. This was almost a year ago, but she's still going through court. She was never convicted of anything and is getting the charges dropped. I told her that it shouldn't show up to the daycare she just applied for because she was never convicted and she hasn't even finished going through court. What do you guys think?
