One border skirmish between EU members could jeopardize the euro... keeping the pound was the smartest thing the brits could have done.

The pound is one of the world's premier currencies and has been for decades.

No, we don't have to behave like sheep. Lose your currency, lose your country. Obviously, anything as profoundly important as that should be put to a referendum. It says everything about the totalitarian regime that is the EU, that some countries were not allowed a referendum. If that isn't a warning, what is? We have already seen what a destructive force the Human Rights Act is. Previously, our fishing and farming industries have been destroyed. The EU is a left wing totalitarian regime that will throw the whole of Europe into chaos. The nation state is too powerful a force to be got rid of overnight, they will eventually re-emerge from the EU umbrella. Some of the nation states subsumed into the Balkans and the USSR at the time of the first world war, started in recent times to reassert themselves.

We do not elect politicians to give power away to a foreign entity. Moreover, our constitution states, that no government may bind a successor government, meaning, that it can't do anything that a successor government can't change. Losing our currency would be such an act.

I used to think yes. But we've missed the boat. The pound has remained, indeed, has become a stronger currency in the past five years and the UK economy is still ahead of most the euro-zone area. It doesn't seem to affect integration as well as Britain will always remain on the edge of the EU.

"Should we follow the majority of europe and loose our nations individuality!"

Is that like loosing the dogs of war?
Anyway no, you should not get rid of the pound. You know what Americans who know call the Euro? Reichsmarks.

NO WAY!! Not only is the pound an integral part of British culture, adopting the Euro would be a large step toward Europe becoming a federal state (like America). I believe this is the long term aim for most of the europhiles out there. Not only would the Euro disrupt our culture, it could also mean our economy would be more prone to fluctuation and that is never a good thing.

No. All other countries that took on the Euro saw massive price hikes- Ireland for example and Finland, Greece and Spain but did the peoples wages go up accordingly? Nope.
The pound is a nice strong currency and always has been, lets play safe and keep it I think.
Phwoooar. If that's her real picture that Jesi is a bit of allright, eh?

The British people are undecided on whether or not to have the Euro. A majority are against the Euro, so until we change our minds or agree, we're not having the Euro.

Why? Why follow the pack and lose your individuality? Like your mom always said, " If every one else jumped off a bridge, would you?" Keep your individuality! That's what makes you unique!
