to get a decent paying job, desired not to make myself employable other than minimum wage jobs, would that be President Bush's fault?

Would it be a good idea for me to want to have the wealth of those who do redistributed to me? Would it be fair?

Would it be ok for me to try to raise a large family on minimum wage?

Should I take personal responsibility for my own actions, or should I blame society for my problems and call myself a victim?

many times i have heard on here that the illegals are doing us a favor as our growing elderly population is growing so, them paying into our social security will help us(hmm mrrm ) . well what about all the elderly they are leaving behind in mexico evidently the president of mexico thinks its a big problem he is offering companies incentives to pay young Mexicans higher wages. giving them an incentive to stay home and develop higher skills. This loss of labor can't go on forever. Mexico is losing people as it is (growth has slowed to 1.16% from 1.53% in 2000)
Calderon is up against not just market forces. Mexico's young people are leaving for El Norte even before they start looking for work in Mexico because their peers are doing it.

It also complements Calderon's emphasis on the rule of law. Unlike his predecessor, Vicente Fox, who sought amnesty for illegals in the U.S., he is urging the U.S. to accept more legal workers to end border chaos.

U.S. Criticizes China Over Missile Test
By KATHERINE SHRADER, Associated Press Writer
2 hours ago

WASHINGTON - The United States criticized China on Thursday for conducting an anti-satellite weapons test in which an old Chinese weather satellite was destroyed by a missile.

The Bush administration has kept a lid on the test for more than a week as it weighs its significance. Analysts said China's weather satellites would travel at about the same altitude as U.S. spy satellites, so the test represented an indirect threat to U.S. defense systems.

"The United States believes China's development and testing of such weapons is inconsistent with the spirit of cooperation that both countries aspire to in the civil space area," National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said. "We and other countries have expressed our concern to the Chinese."

In his annual threat address to Congress, the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. Gen. Michael Maples, said last week that China and Russia are the "primary states of concern" regarding military space programs.

"Several countries continue to develop capabilities that have the potential to threaten U.S. space assets, and some have already deployed systems with inherent anti-satellite capabilities, such as satellite-tracking laser range-finding devices and nuclear-armed ballistic missiles," he said in his written testimony on Jan. 11, the same day China's test was conducted.

The test, first reported by Aviation Week, destroyed the satellite by hitting it with a kinetic kill vehicle launched aboard a ballistic missile.

In October, President Bush signed an order asserting the United States' right to deny adversaries access to space for hostile purposes. As part of the first revision of U.S. space policy in nearly 10 years, the policy also said the United States would oppose the development of treaties or other restrictions that seek to prohibit or limit U.S. access to or use of space.

"Freedom of action in space is as important to the United States as air power and sea power," the policy said. "In order to increase knowledge, discovery, economic prosperity and to enhance the national security, the United States must have robust, effective and efficient space capabilities."

Precisely what drove China to act now remains a mystery. But the United States has to figure out how to respond, said John Pike, a satellite expert at globalsecurity.org.

Since the mid-1980s, the United States has had the ability to take down satellites, but the Chinese don't have satellites worth attacking, Pike said. The United States may have to develop alternatives to its current spy satellites _ perhaps stealthy satellites or unmanned aerial vehicles, which are harder to detect than the current well-established U.S. satellite network.

Reconnaissance satellites in low-Earth orbit _ "eyes in the sky" _ are essential to how the United States fights wars.

"Our space assets are the first asset on the scene," Pike said. "They are absolutely central to why we are a superpower _ a signature component to America's style of warfare."

The Defense Department declined to comment on the test.

Adm. William Fallon, the chief of U.S. Pacific Command, has spearheaded a major push to revive exchanges with the Chinese military. Ties soured after a U.S. spy plane collided with a Chinese fighter plane in 2001.

Fallon has pushed ahead with the program, despite criticism inside the Pentagon. He believes that Chinese and U.S. officers need to understand each another better to avoid disastrous miscalculations.

Bush nominated Fallon this month to take over command of troops in the Middle East.

My child's (age 2.5) father has done very upsetting things to me and my family for the past 3 years and I feel that I am getting sicker and sicker from it physically and mentally. The courts and lawyers say they can't (or won't) help me protect my kids from the things that he does, and I just want him to stop once and for all. For example, he gave my son ( age 14 & from a previous marriage) a cd that he downloaded from the internet, without letting me know or asking my permission. The cd contained racial hate songs on it. When I found out I was furious and asked why he would give him such a thing and he said, "oh lighten up, you always make a big deal out of nothing". Another time he made our daughter get a second set of vacines she didn't need claiming he was never told that she was up to date. But he was told, not only by me, but by the pediatrician, and her shot records. Bottom line, he gets away with it because I can't find a lawyer who's willing to help me put a stop to it.

Illegal aliens are pervasive. They are everywhere. They kill, per day, more Americans than we loose in Iraq. If they're deported they come right back. They commit multiple crimes. They taunt us with their illegality. They drain our taxpayer funded entitlement programs. They mock our Rule of Law. They have little respect for our culture. Our national sovereignty is a joke to them.

Virtually every citizen is affected by this invasion.

This person with 0 feedback advertised a Hermes Birkin for cheap and I bought into it. Well, you can guess the rest. I received a completely different merchandise from what was advertised. Paypal and Ebay don't care. Actually they are being charged back by American Express so they try to protect their money by protecting the seller. Do you think I should file charges against this person with the police? File a small claim with the court? Is there a law protecting the consumer? Has anyone have this experience and do you have any advice for me other than to "learn a lesson and let go"? Thanks.

Who are the real terrorists, where are they, and do they have wmds?
We in the United States have been victims of fascism and internal terrorism since 2000's rigged election. Over 6000 of are people have been killed at least half by the direct hand of our own government. The real enemy lives in a big white house on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave Washington DC.
They spent the first year after they orcestrated the attacks on 911 continuing to terrorize us with anthrax and color coded terror alerts. Showing us time and time again the horrible mocking persona of Bin Laden, like Goldstein in Orewell's1984.
Sometime in the next decade the populace will come to grips with these facts, and I personally am scared to death of the fact that the enemy does have weapons of mass destruction, and will probably use them on us. God bless the people of this once great land.
