I think we should give them the chance to get green cards and pass yet another one of that Emancipation law that saids all illegal aliens now are free to do what ever in this country but must pay US taxes to help stimulate the Bush economy so we can afford big payloads to pay off our nation war debts. Good enough, yes?

Are you aware that many of these so called "illegals" took a major risk of leaving their own country in order to escape persecution or to give their family a better future? So what's wrong with that?

Just make sure it doesn't happen to you. Try putting yourself in their condition before making nasty comments. "

Just what exactly does this have to do with the breaking of U.S. Law? How is their poor domestic conditions somehow our fault? Where is the outrage over their corrupt and inept government? Mexico, with so many motivated workers, has the unprecedented opportunity to rival China in manufacturing output. If the government was purged of corruption and elected officials actually cared about it's citizens, an environment could be created that encourages domestic investment in manufacturing plants/jobs that would propel their economy into the 21st Century. Think about it. Their eager workers coupled with their geographic location creates a circumstance that has their country poised to be an exporting/ economic power-house rivaling China. Why is this not being promoted to their citizens? Why does their government "rely" on the money being sent home from the illegal immigrants working across their borders? This is ridiculous! We shouldn't have to bow to the ways of illegal immigrants in our country. Does it not disgust you that the illegals are now lobbying for "their" rights? What rights? They are here illegally. Why is English not the official language of this country? The more we enable them through providing menus in Spanish, Government services translated into Spanish, ATM screens in Spanish and Spanish options available for almost every service industry in this country, we are only sending the message that we are OK with their . What are we doing? Why are we about to enact the Mexican Social Security Equalization Act? Why should a Mexican citizen with fraudulent documentation be able to receive our Social Security benefits while only working for a year and half in this country when U.S. Citizens need to work 10 years (40 quarters) before being eligible? Does this make sense to you?

Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

We need to take charge of our country. I'm not against Mexican immigrants, only their illegal presence. They should be required to go through the same process that most legal immigrants in this country went through...What's wrong with that?

Who doesn't except the illegals and big business that profits from them.

PS Digital...maybe you need to review the history of this country a little more. I understand my ancestor's stood in long lines at Ellis Island and came here legally. Were proud, expected nothing for free, rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Didn't pop out kids expecting to get welfare, didn't demand free school lunches and a interpreter, didn't help their self to someone else's social security # and it goes on and on. Maybe you need a little education.

No. You should have some compassion. These people are hard working and are employed in industries that Americans don't like.

These illegal aliens just want freedom and equality, which don't exist in their own country.

Additional comments for Mr. Bill Faste..

Is it morally wrong "to break the U.S. Law" if the choice an illegal has to make is between life and death for the sake of avoiding persecution in their own country?

Will you be at the head of the line to be deported to your ancestors homeland?

You, my friend, are just as illegal as they are. You only have a longer lineage of illegals behind you. If you don't understand this then you need to review the history of this country a little more carefully.

The Democrats don't, because they're likely to illegally vote for them, as do the deceased and double voters.

I think that you should single-handedly round them up and deport them-- and then take over all their old jobs, which I've heard pay great.
