I'm in the army and am do back from leave on the 20th. Do I have to sign back in before the work day starts like I did in the Marines or just by midnight? I have been told both ways.

By or before midnight of the last day on the leave orders.

No later than midnight on the last day of your leave. If your last day of leave is the 20th, you must sign back into your unit before 2400 hours on the 20th.

The military has no sense of humor. Arriving back from leave at the last second would only receive a rather dim reception.

I usually signed in at the last second. Then the heartless bastards had me go right to work.
