1975 = Fall of Saigon
2003 = Invasion of Iraq
28 years to forget.

Maybe next time we could really outdo ourselves and wait 38 years to start another Asian land war.

My husband is home from iraq i think he has PTSD He won't seek help. He blames me for not being nice to him 24/7 though i try not to raise my voice anytime. i finally got fed up when he started doing the whole yelling in my face, and pinned me to floor and start doing all those military moves of bending wrists and arms in positions and pressure points to cause pain & harm me then wonders why i try to hit him off me, Hello it hurts. So i sought help through the Army Family Advocate program, and he thinks i'm jacking up his career cause i want him to seek help. And if he won't they'll do something about it. Did i cross the line taking it to his superiors, or was it okay to reach out for help.

People say that to kill is different to murder.So you go to jail if you murder because when you murder you intentionally planned to kill someone.When you kill someone is like when your at war or it was self deffense and it wasnt a plan.But abortion is a plan so isnt it the same as murder?? and if it is then why arent those people going to jail for murder??

A friend told me that on January 3rd, when Congress has their next session, that 3 other Congressmen are going to ask the rest to reinstate the Draft. Is this true? And if so how long would it be before anyone was actually Drafted?

This time the Anti-Ukrainian forces lead my country and we don't want to get back to the Kuchmism and to let Russians to tell us what to do. A few days ago Mr. Yanukovych visited the USA and I am interested in americans' attitude to this politic.

From the first week of the occupation and Rumsfeld's denial of wide-spread looting. lawlessness, and chaos, it seems that administration policy is more driven by denial and ego (saving face) than seeking solutions for failed policies.

Of course the conservative cheerleaders here at home just ape that mentality in their support for what anyone with eyes, and ears, and a working brain, can see is a bad situation that's getting worse in Iraq and in the region.

An example of "pride persists during the fall"?

At least changes are being made. Rumsfeld is out, Bush is admitting his folly and taking time to reconsider strategy.

Wouldn't it have been better if the administration faced reality 2 years ago?

Or heaven forbid, before even invading.

If it wan't for him, we'd be living in the times of Scrooge and Marley, with no middle class, just the mass of poor, and a few rich bosses. Is this what they really want to go back to? And if you can't answer intelligently, do me a favor, don't.

?My Sister died suddenly last year, she was a home owner, seperated -not yet divorced-, her " husband" not having had contact for some years. The house has remained empty for one year to date and is now the subject of attention for "disposal" by the building society , the value of the house is approx £145000, of which is almost all equity after mortgage deductions on the sale.
The absent " husband" has shown no interest in the house and has since re-married . She had no children to this marriage and did not leave a will. Can l as her brother, sieze the house as I have the keys to enter and transfer the mortgage to me by an act of adminisrtation ??....also as a Nurse for the NHS she had a "Death in service " pension with a considerable weekly pension had she lived. Whom has the right to this pension should her absentee husband not claim it ??..can it be re-sold back to the NHS so the total sum may be included in her estate value??
Many thanks for any information to this.

After appearing only seven weeks ago on the Internet, the Appeal for Redress, brainchild of 29-year-old Navy seaman Jonathan Hutto, has already been signed by nearly 1,000 US soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen, including dozens of officers--most of whom are on active duty. Not since 1969, when some 1,300 active-duty military personnel signed an open letter in the New York Times opposing the war in Vietnam, has there been such a dramatic barometer of rising military dissent.

Interviews with two dozen signers of the Appeal reveal a mix of motives for opposing the war: ideological, practical, strategic and moral. But all those interviewed agree that it is time to start withdrawing the troops. Coming from an all-volunteer military, the Appeal was called "unprecedented" by Eugene Fidell, president of the National Institute of Military Justice.

American voters are still not aware the troop movement to return home is growing.
