generally i have heard that a legal midget (female) is anyone under 5' and a legal midget (male) is anyone under 5'3"
but the fact is that a midget is really someone diagnosed with a "short disorder" due to hormonal problems. so some people will call you a midget but the real fact is that you are not.
you were just made short and there is nothing wrong with that!!!

Well I looked it up and to be considered a legal midget you have to be 4 foot 10 and under. And just so you know you're 16 you're going to keep growing most likely. But just so you know I'm 32, a female, and I am 4 feet 9 inches tall and people ask me all the time how tall I am. And if people ask you that question just tell them this "dynamite comes in small packages". My father always would say that. Lol

i dont think you are, I'm shorter than u and im 17, I'm 4'8, people are always asking me how tall r u, and i would tell them and they would be like your a legal midget, but the thing is, i dont look like one, midgets are tiny and they have short arms, and short legs, and usually there head isnt in porportion with there body(im not trying to be mean) so now when people tell me how tall i am, i tell them 4'9 cuz im sick of being called a midget! i have a normal body, my arms and legs and fine for my body, i'm just not as tall as the other kids in my grade, the reason i am this short is because when i was 12, doctors discovered that my pitutary gland was only working 80% and so i had to be put on growth hormone shots from the time i was 13 till 16, if it wasnt for them shots i would be about 4'2 at about 40 pounds, and now i am 4'8 and i weigh 85 pounds, 4'8 at 85 pounds is a heck alot better than 4'2 at 40 pounds. i wasnt annorexic at that time when i weighed 40 pounds either, i would eat normal it was just because that's the way i was, im so glad i am 4'8 at 85 pounds, there is nothing wrong with me! and i would say you are not a midget!

I am 5'3 and they say I am short. I like being short. I don't have to worry about finding pants long enough, just short enough, but I go to petite. My oldest daughter is almost 33 and she is 4' 11, and very petite, sometime has to ear out of girls clothes, but she is so cute and proportioned so well. You are fine, especially if you are proportioned good enough. Don't worry about it. People always have something to say. if you are fat, skinny, tall, or short and other. I love the fact that most guys are taller than us and we dont have to worry about that. It is kinda nice to have them look down at you and make you feel more girly amd woman like.====

Who cares how tall someone is? I don't like labels. 5'10' man here. I can do anything someone a 1' taller than me can do, including dunk a basketball. Judging someone by their appearance, whatever it is, is a loss to everyone who so judges.
