Recently, in Florida, at a Republican event to honor George H. W. Bush’s son Jeb, who is just finishing up 2 terms as governor, H. W. wept & sobbed when he got to the part in his speech about Jeb losing his bid to become governor of FL in 1994. Jeb lost to Lawton Chiles by 51 to 49%. Had Jeb won in 94 & then gone on to win re-election in 98, he would have been in position to run for president in 2000.

Instead, George W., who ran for gov. of Texas in 94 & won, & then won re-election, was in position to run for president – he ran & won, & then he won re-election. Was H. W. so grief-stricken because W. - who has arguably had a bumpier life than the more cautious & well-spoken Jeb - has arguably made a shambles out of his presidency? Was H. W. reduced to a “basket case” because W.’s policies have now destroyed the Republican Party? Was he sobbing because Jeb will not have a chance to become president? Just why did this experienced public speaker almost have to be carried off the stage?

I live in Texas and they get locked up for 1/2 of their sentence at least! Which to me isn't enough! I think the victims family should be allowed to seek the death penalty!

How long can someone defy a court order. My ex wife has defied a court order to refinance our house for 1 year. Does the court take any action on people who don't follow the judge's order? Can I file a petition to sell the house? My attorney is on vacation for 1 month, so I can't ask him now. Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge on this.

Is this possible? Is any law enforcement agency 100% effective? We only stop 10% of the drugs coming into the country, and drug smugglers are waaaay smarter, well organized, well equipped, and financed than the terrorists.

I think he will, and for one simple reason: He moved his Iraq reform Speech from this coming week to January. With Christmas and Haunkakh coming up, I think he didn't want to get families in an uproar, so he thinks that it will be less painful in the New Year. He is an idiot. The only reccommendations he is going to take from the Iraq report is the part which says " more" instead of "less". He is the worst Presidnt the U.S. ever had and most likely the worst miliatry leader in World History

I am sick and tired of writing my elected officials and I do not think they are listening! Texas is overun with illegal immigrants who are breeding thousands of anchor babies and taking up social services that rightfully belong to Americans! Why the band aid measures for show with the Swift raid? They need to start right here in Texas first and put military on the border so we can finally clear up this costly problem!
