Im doing a project for school and need input. Why would you be for flag burning.

I assume you mean burning your own country's flag? If so, it's a form of protest. It's a physical action to demonstrate that you are displeased with policies of your government.

In the US, it's also a form of freedom of speech. This freedom is guaranteed to us by the Constitution. Unfortunately, some people are trying to eliminate this freedom that our country's founders held so dear (as when they were protesting policies of the British government).

Personally, I wouldn't burn a flag, but I think it's free speech. The problem with flag burning is that annoys people more than it persuades them. While I think most flag burning is immature there's is one instance of flag burning that I can respect. In 1966 an African-American veteran named Sydney Street was at home listening to his radio. When he heard the news that civil rights activist James Meredith had been shot and wounded Mr. Street burned his flag. He said there was no point in having flag.
