Just recently announced, what do you think?

FEC Settles With Three 527 Groups
The Federal Election Commission today announced that it has reached settlements with three 527 groups it had accused of violating campaign finance laws during the 2004 presidential election. Of the three groups — The League of Conservation Voters 527 and 527II, MoveOn.org Voter Fund, and Swiftboat Veterans and POWs for Truth — the largest settlement will be paid by Swift Boat Vets, at $299,500. Moveon.org's Voter Fund will pay approximately half that total, at $150,000.

The war with Iraq was justified on the basis that Saddam failed to comply with resolution 1441. Specifically this section of 1441:

“Iraqi production and use of weapons of mass destruction (biological weapons, chemical weapons, and long-range missiles), all in violation of U.N. resolutions.”

Saddam failed to explain the Yellow Cake document & denied Iraq had mobile chemical weapons labs. He insisted there were no WMD in Iraq. But the US had 100% proof they existed.

However - We now know the Yellow Cake document was a forgery sourced by Blair before the war.

The mobile weapons labs were really British balloon engines. It was a trap.

Saddam wasn’t lying as the documents were all forgeries created by the US/UK. Many other documents turned out to be forged (e.g. Blair’s dodgy dossier, the 45 mins WMD strike etc)

The only Iraqi that claimed Saddam had WMD was a known con man and a convicted fraudster who said anything we wanted for 2 million dollars.

So was 1441 a total set-up?

I just do not get it... maybe I am a cynic, but why not also hit Tyson and Del Monte? Did Swift donate too much money to the Dem's?

I am not insinuating any wrong doing, what I am thinking is that public servants have a duty to keep themselves healthy don't they? What do you think is the answer to Sen. Johnson's situation? Bad genes, a bad lifestyle or a conspriracy? A lot is riding on his fitness to serve in the Senate...

He says that he went because he felt it was his duty to follow through on the Iraq study groups recommendations, even though the president has stated that he won't meet with Iran or Syria. Did he over step his bounds by meeting with the president of Syria? Syria has said that if a civil war ensues, they will back sunnis. Is this good information to have?
