Here is one guess: What if they had a weapon that could emit invisible forms of energy that has the capacity to interact with all other forms of normal energy and matter, and do it at any place and location on the planet, and do it with undreamed of precision? What if they could manipulate matter and energy by way of altering fundamental scalar and vector fields. Scalar fields and vector fields are what our larger classical reality is made of, they are thus fundamental to our being and to all of our experiences. As such, it would do little good to have advanced missiles and war planes, guns, and ships if they could be systematically and instantly altered, remotely from a distance, such that they could be made inoperational. Or, if every human being on the planet could be either killed or seriously disabled instantly. It is safe to say, I think, that we humans have not achieved this level of control over the physics of nature, but there is good reason to believe that extraterrestrials have achieved it, and far more. A scalar field has magnitude only and no direction; a vector field has both magnitude and direction. Force is an example of a vector. Gravity is a vector as is kinetic energy; pressure is a scalar field as is weather and potential energy. Using such exotic technology (based upon a different kind of physics) it might be possible to disarm and disable every human being and every weapon of war on the planet, and do it in less than an hour's time. This would be like God returning .The aliens would be able to run the world .
If they where smart the would remain distant and tell everyone that live after death is possible as long as you follow these rules . People are fearful of others so in all religions life is sacred and to destroy life is the path to hell .
Any religion that might preach sacrifice of human life was ended .If the aliens where smart they would revive human sacrifice as a means to getting to heaven . God knows we will kill anyone to get ahead in this world .

If they have super-advanced weapons and are USING them on us, we wouldn't stand a chance. If they really wanted to conquer us or wipe us out and they had the technology for interstellar travel they could defeat us from space and kill us all before they even landed. If they aren't using them on us, then maybe the governments should open up their respective doors to them, as we would not be able to stop them anyway.

Weilding just means having, and that alone isn't a problem.

The U.S. Government has a lot of top secret contingency plans and bunkers. Many of the Bunkers are known to the public, the plans are not, aside from sucession of the President.

If they've come here to use humans for food, we should round up Bush, Cheney, Condi, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Tony Blair, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie for sacrifice. Unfortunately, though, they wouldn't get much meat off of Ann Coulter or Paris Hilton.
