Uh... get more mirrors?

Seriously, if regular citizens don't report dozens of men dressed in "military uniforms" in a convoy big enough to abduct 20-30 men (I'm guessing they had 2-3 large trucks) there isn't going to be much hope for Iraq. The citizens have adopted the fatalistic ostrich attitude and hope the violence won't reach them, as there isn't much they can do about it.

Law enforcement over there is going to need acoustic sensors and cameras at nearly every other street corner in order to pinpoint gunshots and such and send reaction forces faster, perhaps even by helicopter, but a lot will depend on how the Iraqi forces do.
