No employers were led a way, no managers, just a bunch of Hispanic 'terrorists' trying to put meat on your table.
I just do not get it... maybe I am a cynic, but why not also hit Tyson and Del Monte? Did Swift donate too much money to the Dem's?

I used to work at a big newspaper.
I have completely read over 17 articles about this "bust". This just does not seem to be a thorough "bust".
No arrest of the guys producing the fake ID's. No employer or owner arrests. Low percent of ICE folks that could speak Spanish. But lots of coordinated Media coverage.
Yes this is a bust of illegal activities, but how about the "enablers". Like going after the drug importers rather than just the users.
This seems like the IRS scare tactic of going after the guy that makes a $100 mistake, but lets Haliburton off the hook for millions.
Yeah its legal and justified, but there seems to have been lots of 'paybacks ' overlooked.
Maybe we will see more as workers are "interviewed" and they divulge how the document providers, the interviewers all beat the system and stay undercover.
Something just was not as well done as could have been. But then, Katrina preperation wasn't either.

Yesterday's news came out: at several plants word was leaked to "certain employees" by Swift.
couple hundred employees "surprisingly" never showed up at two plants yet quite a few arrests were still made.
To me seems like certain managers leaked word to their cronnies that were the insiders making the fake ID's?
This will take weeks to figure out the truth.

nfocuz00, is right, this is all staged for public consumption. If this weren't staged, then there would be no need for simultaneous attacks. I found it interesting that only 65 were arrested. HUMMM, either the problem is not as big as some in the republican party are saying or the forged, stolen document papers are very good.

They have to start somewhere. People are stealing our SS#'s and vital records. These places are being screened as well as other businesses in order to stop this practice. They are hitting businesses where they are finding a SS# being used in 2-3 different places across the country etc. Checking more thourghly in known ID thefts. It's not like checking SS#'s is a NEW thing. They just haven't been as strict in recent years as they used to be. I don't know what on earth anyone expects us to do because this can't keep going on. They are also getting the people who are selling these phony documents. I guess it doesn't seem like a big deal unless it's your number that's stolen and you are left to deal with the fall-out. They always say it's no big deal if you have nothing to hide as they monitor me. Why is it so God awful when someone is caught that does have something to hide? Heck there wouldn't be tear shed if I was caught using another's SS#. It's a CRIME. There has to be something to get through to these people that there are things that are against the law here. I have to abide by the law whether I like or agree with it or not. They do too.

I agree, employers should be held responsible for illegal hiring practices and their places of business be closed until they can prove they've got good measures to ensure that no illegal aliens get hired. One guy completely lost his company over having hired illegals, he ONLY hired illegals, at that.
I support having the border fence and better employer enforcement, two things that should've been going on for the last 20 years, but somehow got 'forgotten'...we've got millions and millions of legal immigrants, they work just as hard as any illegal alien, and the money goes into the local economy instead of off to Mexico and points beyond.
2-3 decades of gross negligence won't be made up overnight, don't expect miracles, and do expect that mistakes will be made.
But, it's still evidence that an honest effort's being made to reverse a trend that's been years in the making....do YOU support immigration enforcement, or are you pro-illegals etc?
Decisions, decisions...

These people trying to put meat on my table were taking meat off the tables of the people whose identities were stolen by them. If that's doing someone a favor I have to say no thanks. I was disgusted that the employers weren't arrested and fined. And I truly hope that Tyson and Del Monte are next. Or maybe they can hit the factories in my town, but they better bring a lot of vehicles to put them in. It would make an impressively long train as they drove away.

Illegal immigrant supporters, Congressmen and Senators want to try to evoke sympathy for illegal alien (undocumented workers) and their families at Christmas Times so that they can force more amnesty laws to be passed.
We, the law-abiding Citizens of the United States are the true victims in this whole fiasco. Those whose identities were stolen are not having a great Christmas. They are having to deal with court officials, writing letters to creditors, and having to PROVE that they are the true owner of the identity.
Swift contends that they tried to obey the laws and checked with government databases. That is probably why no charges have been filed, yet. However, this points to the fact that our government is not doing the job it's paid to do and that we need to demand that the Data Bases be up-to-date and that the tools are provided to the employers. We are all for seizing the assets of Corporations and businesses that decide it's okay to disobey employment laws and immigration laws.
We at Citizens Protecting Your Rights want to see more enforcement. We absolutely do NOT NEED anymore laws. There are laws already on the books that had they been enforced diligently after the 1986 Amnesty, we would not have had 9/11/01 and we would not have the problems we have today.
Notice that all those arrested were LATINO. That's not a coincidence. These people are openly advocating the takeover of the United States. Read their comments. Look at their signs. Read the Latino newspapers.
Please join Citizens Protecting Your Rights and other organizations in sending pink slips to our Lawmakers and other elected officials who are not doing their jobs and who are supporting illegal aliens and other lawbreakers. We will be sending out pink postcards or white postcards with pink labels or information printed on pink paper to all our elected officials demanding that their paychecks be withheld and that they be fired for failure to do their jobs. We'd like to get 12-20 million law-abiding citizens or law-abiding immigrants to join us in sending pink slips. We've declared January 1, 2007 Pink Slip Day!

Or maybe you are just bias for Mexicans right? That was a great bust on the behalf of ICE. They did it because they discovered a Identity theft ring there. I guess you didn't read in depth the article right? You just saw Mexicans being arrested and thought to cry about it on the Internet. They got what they deserved and much more bust are to come.

No they followed all of the laws even having in acted a federal checking system. But due to the laws on the books they are unable to fire them without first getting the OK from said Government, and or the Democratic lobbyists, the UNIONS.

I hope they DO hit Tyson and Del Monte next. They probably will. The reason they hit Swift is because they are in several states, and have wherehouses full of illegal mexicans, thats why! I hope they deport all the illegal mexicans that they found.
