Hey,

I'm a student journalist reporting on an incident that happened at my school several weeks ago.

The school principal ordered a Spanish teacher to rip a student's Zane book in class because the book contain content, according to him, not allowed in school.

Those who are familiar with Zane may know that her books all have sex content. Even though the school is not allowed to promote sex were his actions constitutional or unconstitutional?

How about books in literature such as Candide or The House of Spirits that also contain sex content but are allowed to be read in school.

Any feedback?
Thanks.

In my Participation in Government class, we're filling out our voter registration forms. I'm a bit stressed with which party I should enroll in... And, was wondering, if there were any quizzes, and/or sites I could go to, to help make my decision easier?

My condo association hired a plumber to find the source of a leak from my unit to my neighbor downstairs. They found that the leak was an item which was my responsibility and are now billing me for the plumber's work. Now, my issue is that the fix was small and something that could have been performed by me; I was never given the option of securing my own contractor or doing the work myself nor was I provided a statement or estimate outlining the scope of the work or the cost. Is there a Florida Statute that requires such notice? If, so where can i find it?

The first paragraph of the Iraq Constitution reads: "This shall be an Islam government, and the Koran is the rule of the land". This phrase should be replaced with: There shall be no establishment of religion and the free exercise thereof.
There is no freedom of religion, no Bill of Rights, and no peace.

I thought this was illegal, but I'm not sure. I thought I heard that you could buy any kind of "good" and not be denied but that companies can deny you a "service" they provide.

Do you have to be devious and underhanded to make it to the top in a career, or business, or polotics. Is power really corrupting or is corruption an essential tool in gaining power in the first place. Its often said that poloticians get corrupted by power but when you eventually learn how they made it to the top in the first place you discover that thery were totally corrupt to begin with and lied and cheated to get to the top.

I am preparing to sue a tenant in small claims court for nonpayment of rent and evict the tenant. Tenant has not paid rent for three months. What evidence would I need to present to the magistrate to demonstrate that tenant has not paid? I can't bring cancelled checks to show she hasn't paid, so what can I use to prove my point? Thanks for your help!
