Not just Iran, damn near every Arab hates Israel because they are Jews, and because they opress the Palistinians, their 'Muslim brothers and sisters'. And because....well........it's Iran......Mahmoud hates everyone!!!!

If you follow the Bible, at one time all of those people are of the same offspring- some 6000 or so years ago they all had the same common ancestor, Abraham and Sarah.
One of the curses God had given to them for not killing every man, woman and child when they entered the Promise Land was that they would be a thorn in Isreals side- and sure enough, after all this time they're still fighting over the same dirt, water and natural resources after all this time

Because #1 Israel is the only non Muslim state in the entire middle east, and #2 Israel is the only democratic state in the entire middle east and democracy can be contageous. As to.this B.S. about Israelis driving Palestinians from their homes. Israel was established by a U.N. mandate in 1948 and the
people who were displaced were compensated, admittedly not very much but still paid something. At the end of W.W. 2 there were millions of refugees in Europe, today there are none.
Still 60 years later Palestinians are living in refugee camps. If they had spend 10% of the energy they used up lobbing rockets into Israel and sending suicide bombers they might actually have built a reasonable standard of living, some industry other than weapons manufacture, and had they hanged that terrorist Arafat 20 years earlier, who stole countless millions of aid money sent to them, who knows, there might be peace in the middle east today.

Because Iran believes that Israel should not even exist as a nation in the first place. Iran believes that the establishment of a country for displaced Jews after WWII is no reason to start a new country where one already existed -- Palestine. They believe that this action displaced the Moslem population of Palestine, which is the source of friction to this day. Add to that, the number of wars in which Israel has defeated Muslim attackers and the humiliation that brings, and Iran has much hatred for Israel.

Because there are still people around who remember the land that is now Israel being occupied by Palestinians. They remember the land being taken by European countries in order to form a Jewish homeland. They also have seen the Israeli state do terrible things to its Palestinian occupants.
Iran, and the rest of the world, has been given hundreds of reasons not to like Israel.

contrary to popular belief most Iranians don't have any problems with Israel, polls conducted in Iran show that, the real problem is the ultra conservative Muslim government that wants to be hostile to the west and thus is hostile to Israel(an ally to the west).

Iran doesn't hate jews, they hate zionists. and there is a subtle difference.
they just don't like non-muslims living in what they consider muslim teritory.

Israel is oppressing the palastinian people and fellow muslims don't like that.
