How did we get to this place morally, where you can create another human being, and be totally free from the consequences of having that person know your name, see your picture, or even being allowed to talk to you or gaze on you even one time?

Why do we accept without question that the government should assist in this escape from consequences by sealing records and denying access to the truth to people who have done nothing wrong except be born?

Why do we treat adult children, raised by others, as the enemy of the birth parents? Why do our laws deprive one group of their rights in order to protect others from possibly having to face the consequences of their past choices?

The Cuban people have lived under tyranny and oppression for decades. They will probably be emotionally overwhelmed once they seen the blessings of freedom being built right in their very own land.

We invaded their country, we are causing the deaths of thousands of Iraqis everyday, we are trying our best to hide the evidence by underreporting the violence, and deaths. We messed up their holidays, how can we sit here, and think about our holidays??

My dad was struck with a basketball to the side of his head inside the YMCA, was knocked over, glasses knocked off, and lost hearing due to the severity of the hit.
The kid that hit him was african-american, my dad is an old guy whose health isn't what it used to be. Couldn't this be assault? I told him he should report it to the police, but he doesn't like causing strife, and doesn't want to be seen as discriminatory since the kid who threw it was black. The accuraccy of the attack suggests it was intentional. What should he do?

need to find a favorable solution. I dont encourage illegal immigration but we have to be humanitarian and find an appropriate solution without name calling or hurting others feelings. They are acutally very nice and humble people, we all have bad apples, lets not label them all bad. I'm sure they would love to stay in their country if things werent so bad.

Can you really blame the highly excitable neocons for their hateful respones to thoughtful Democratic questions?

Seriously, Bush, Rummy, Rush and Bill O have been feeding lies to these nearsighted neocons for years, can you blame them for their misconceptions? I feel sorry for them. I knew Bush was a liar, but they desperately tried to hold on to their denials...but not the Emperor has no clothes...

I was hoping to send beer (six pack) to someone in Iraq through the A.P.O.

My first question is ... is this possible (or is it illegal)?

Second ... could he drink it once he got it (i.e., actually have it on his person or would this just get him into trouble)?

Thanks for all your help in advance especially military personnel that know exactly the answers!
