capitalism makes no gaurentees of any thing but does afford the opportunity for success given that ones drive is strong enough whereas in communism your stuck in whatever social cast you had the misfortune to be born in.

Isn't it funny how the world's wealthiest, most prosperous, and most affluent countries in the world are capitalist, while 90 miles south of our border there is a country in squalor and 1950's economics (Cuba, a communist nation). Capitalism guarantees prosperity and equal chances to succeed, communism guarantees oppression and poverty. I choose capitalism...

Neither!!! I believe that the best system hasn't been tried yet in this world. But, I have read books that describe it, and it is very highly evolved...light years more evolved than our society is.
