Some have not only been stalked online, but they have had their identity stolen as well.
There are many criminal activities going on in the use of the web.
There are plenty of scams to take your money promising a huge return for those who participate.
However, most of these activities are done outside the U.S. and therefore hard to do anything about it.

Absolutely. But it is more difficult to prove. Police can trace it to a specific computer but it is difficult to prove who was using it, especially if the person does not live alone or if they have lots of visitors who have access to their computer.
