the iraqi's are. without us there, thier country would be torn apart by civil war. yes, people over there are dying everyday, but that's because there are still insurgents and facistis present. if we and some of our allies weren't there, just think of what condition that country would be in. our armies are fighting to rid that country of those fascists so the majority of iraq can join the rest of the world (or most of it) in the present day. what the media ISN'T telling you is that 80% or more of the people in iraq are HAPPY that we are there and WANT us to be there because they know we will help make iraq a better place and that we will help to modernize it so that they don't have to live in horrible conditions with the threat of terrorists running about. this war is not senseless. it just requires support and patience to help fight it out. its unlike any other war america has fought. and america (and iraq) needs our support and patience more than ever.

right now, mostly opec countries who are selling oil at a premium due to the current instability in the middle east. That is why middle eastern countries won't do anything to help quell the violence. If we are successful in bring a stable democratic government to Iraq that is able to defend itself and it's citizens then there will be tremendous benefit to Iraqis, the middle east and the entire world. That is what were fighting for. I hope it works out. It would be such a good thing if it did, and W would go down as one of the greatest presidents our country has ever known. I wonder if that is why liberals are so against our succeeding in Iraq?

What Merc said above. Exactly correct. If we are not willing to make sacrifices to stabilize the world and rid it of evil where we can then we are a sad people. It's so unfortunate that people think the way you do, because if we had the backing of a strong majority of people we could be far more successful, as Sandra Day O'Connor said today.

Iraq is. The Mideast is. Especially Iran. It's not senseless. We need to be there. However we are at a point we need a new direction and that's what we are getting now.

Since the US has lost... Iran.
Radical Islam (they know that America is without leadership and easily defeated).
The other major world powers like China, EU (the US has demonstrated its weakness and lack of planning/leadership).
Rogue states like N. Korea

Thank Neocons, AIPAC and George Dumbya for severly weakening America.

so far no one is, well the greedy politicians are who are lining their pockets.

But it certainly isn't any of the troops that have layed down their lives for this country.

In truth, a lot of people, mainly the iraqi people. EVEN IF SOME DIE IN THE CROSSFIRE!! The majority live and they get schooling for girls, better facilities, no worrying about if their leaders gonna gas them if they go against him......lots of stuff.
