I hear lot's of people say that the country is in debt, but seriously ... if they wanted they could just print out millions and millions of 100 dollar bills couldn't they? I don't see how it can cost money to make money. All they need to do is print out lot's of money with the machine, so why does everyone say we are in debt or why does the government act like they can't just print out money whenever they want, because I think they can if they wanted to.

The police in Hertfordshire are said to under disciplinary rules after distributing a video of a black man decapitating himself by jumping from a tall building and separating his head from his body in the process. As a black person my view is this video is not racist in any way. Nobody should be running from the police because it can cause death either by being shot by the police or crashing into moving objects or as in this case self mutilation. It matters not what colour the runner is. The message is no running from police.

Is this a president or a dictator? Have the people not spoken loudly and clearly that we want out of his war and his war bills?

What does it mean that he continues to refuse the will of the people?

Or did Bush just cave in to the opinion polls? Either way, why did he change course (flip/flop) a week after publically expressing confidence in him?

I thought Bush didn't pay attention to polls and opinions, and was his oun man steering the ship, always on course as he knows best. Like an infallible superhero or something. Captain "W" and what not.

I just read an article that scares the iving heck out of me, Newt Gingrich is saying we may have to re-examine FREE SPEECH to prevent terrorism, here's his quote "Gingrich, speaking at a Manchester awards banquet, said a "different set of rules" may be needed to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.

"We need to get ahead of the curve before we actually lose a city, which I think could happen in the next decade,"

Man what happened to my Country? The terrorists have already won if this type of thinking could be our reality, shred the constitution to save the consitution, does this seem right to anyone?

I think my friend is getting one pulled over on her. A girl took out a restraining order on her exboyfriend and they go to court on the 30th. She has since called, messaged, and written this guy, but they are still going to court. Question: Isn't the restraining order null and void now???? She can't contact him even though she is the one filing the restraining order, can she???? This guy told my friend that all restraining orders are different, and she can contact him, but he can't contact her with this order. I call bull sh*t on that one. I have never heard of such a thing. I thought you BOTH had to abide by the order or it was broken.
Also, does a restraining order go "on your record"???
Thanks for any help.

After the second World War, Gen. McArthur (who was bascially running Japan at that time) faced a similar situation as the US faced with Iraq and Saddam.

The Emperor of Japan of the time (a man named Hirohito) was a far worse seed than Saddam Hussein. He was very much hated by his people but he did maintain control over Japan (as did Saddam of Iraq). Sensing this, McArthur decided to spare Hirohito from criminal sanctions or public humilation and keep him on board as a puppet. Why? To maintain stability!

Why haven't we learned from this? The US could have done the same thing! Kept Saddam in power as a puppet to maintain some sort of stability! When Saddam was toppled, chaos insued. Undoubtedly, the same would have happened in Japan if Hirohito would have been ousted.

Here's the scenario...Moved into a quiet suburban neighborhood about 3 and a half years ago. What few neighbors I have on this dead end street are all older, quiet people, and we all pretty much keep to ourselves. Last summer we first heard one neighbor, who is a middle aged man who lives with his very elderly mother, screaming VERY loudly. We were not eavesdropping, mind you, he was screaming so loudly that we could clearly make out what he was saying. Things like "I hate you", "why do you keep doing that when you know it make me mad", doors slamming, etc. Judging by the amount of beer cans in the recycle bin every other week, we think he's a pretty heavy drinker. This has happened numerous times since, and I'm kind of stuck for what to do. I don't want to meddle, but I fear for the welfare of this poor old lady. And if you ask me, when you scream that loudly, you are making your business everyone else's business. Thoughts?
