The police in Hertfordshire are said to under disciplinary rules after distributing a video of a black man decapitating himself by jumping from a tall building and separating his head from his body in the process. As a black person my view is this video is not racist in any way. Nobody should be running from the police because it can cause death either by being shot by the police or crashing into moving objects or as in this case self mutilation. It matters not what colour the runner is. The message is no running from police.

No it`s not racist. If you run from the police they`re bound to think you`re guilty of something, and they`ll give chase in return. It doesn`t matter what colour you are. He just happened to be black.

In no way is it racist. I have seen this, although the version I saw was a series of pictures rather than a video IIRC. The pathetic calls of "racism" make me sick, and in fact are having a negative effect by drawing attention to race where there is no need. The thought police are now using the issue of racism to their own political ends. This must stop, the social and political climate in the UK is deteriorating such that we are heading for catastrophe if so-called political correctness continues to triumph over civil liberties and common sense.

I agree, the vid definitely isnt racist, i was thinking this when i heard ot on the news. The email makes no mention of the mans colour, and no reference to it, he just as easily could have been an asian, chinese or white. The fact is he broke the law, so deserves to be sent all over the net!

Gaga is NOT racist, she is all for equality in every sense. Her backup dancers and close friends are black. Gaga was not intentionally using them as servants in the music video, you're just looking too much into it.

I think the message is far more sinister.
The message seems to read 'if you refuse to comply with the police, guilt is presumed, and whatever consequences result, 'on your own head be it!''
Someone is sending out a message that elements of the police can act above and beyond the call of duty, and in effect act as judge, jury and executioner.
This is 2006AD, not 2001AD! (hope you spotted the oblique ironic reference there!)

i agree with you, the people who think this is racist are a big part of the race issue. why did they see a black man in the video insted of just seeing a man running?
