OK...before you start on the rhetoric that you have been spewing since the illegal immigration debate has started, can you give me real reasons to support illegal immigration?

Please do not tell me that they are looking for a better way of life. There are 4.5 billion people in this world that are at much lower standard of living than people in Mexico. With that logic, we would have to bring in 4.5 billion people into this country to assist them in making a better life for them. Honestly, if you are trying to help someone become a better person or have an improved life, wouldn't it be better served going to their country and helping them with things such as education and health care? Do we not already do this in several countries?

Also, do not tell me that they are doing "jobs Americans will not do". EVERY job that an illegal immigrant possesses right now was previously done by an American citizen. EVERY LAST ONE. The illegal immigrants are only being exploited and doing jobs that Americans ONCE did at usually about ¼ of the rate.

Do not tell me that if the illegal immigrants were deported to their home country that the economy would collapse and that the rate of inflation would explode. That is just flat out speculation and in no way based on any facts. The only thing that would change is the profits that multimillion dollar company net. It would really upset them if they had to pay a decent wage and reduce their profit. They do nothing more than exploit illegal immigrants and if pro-illegal supporters are so worried about illegal immigrants rights…shouldn't they be protesting the companies that are using them as slave labor?

Do not tell me that they are not hurting anyone. Our health care system, our welfare system, and our educational system can not sustain the influx of people into this country.
Hospitals are closing due to the amount of illegal immigrants that do not pay their bills. Our educational system is overcrowded. In my sons 1st grade class there are over 30 children in his class. Eight of which are Hispanic, I do not know for sure…I can only speculate their parents citizenship; however, I know that the teacher sends all of the homework instruction home in English and Spanish…so what is that telling you.

Do you think that our country can sustain this level of immigration without some consequences? Do you not think that as soon as the well is run dry in your city and state that they will not hesitate to raise taxes? At the current level of illegal immigrants that we have in this country, they are costing each taxpayer $1200.00 every year. I know that I would much rather see that $1200.00 that I paid in taxes spent on other things rather than paying the bill for someone that doesn't even legally belong in this country.

I don't know…just help me understand how this is good for our country.

Now give me a low rating…take about you warm fuzzy feelings that you have for illegal immigrants…say that I am a racist…tell me how this isn't "our" country to begin with…I have heard all the bu**sh**…but not once has anyone actually said anything that would make a real point in why we should lower our standard of living to accommodate people who don't even legally belong here. I agree that in an ideal world that there would be no borders and everyone would drink a Coke and live in harmony….but this isn't an ideal world.

How goes it

Does the existence of only two major political parties - the Democrats and the Republicans - in the US encourage "all or nothing" polarization among the general populace, e.g. over 50% of Amercians catagorize themselves as big "C" Christians? Most western countries today have a number of parties that have national prominence and this seems to encourage open dialogue. The current situation in US federal politics seems to run far in the opposite direction: secrecy, deception and polarization seem to be the bell weathers of Amercian society today. What happened to the idealism of the national anthem: "Land of the free, and the home of the brave."?

If as claimed by Westminster, Scotland receives a lot more money from Westminster than it puts in, why do English MP's always resist the idea of an Independent Scotland, surley this is bad management, most financial advisers would recommend getting rid of non profit making sections of a business, and at the end of the day thats one of the main functions of Westminster, to balance the books, the same as any other business

The UK has like it or not been protestant for many years, how then does a Mosque fall into the planning requirement of "in keeping with the local enviroment".
It is bad enough the law that states that shops should clearly state the propritors name in legible English is being flouted, the poor women had her cross objected to et al.
Is it not time that we the English stood up for the UK.
To wit no walking down the street with face obscured.
All coppers wear helmets as opposed to bandages,
Shop fronts written in English,
Take these things for a start and work up.
These are not rascist, the africans, chinese, west indians, and others accept our culture, and when we go to other countries we are not allowed beer, women cannot drive they also have to cover up.
So how about it Brits?

Our current system of taxation is not fair.
A VERY small percentage of people pay over 50% of the Nation's taxes.
A flat tax for everyone or a National sales tax would be more FAIR.
What are your thoughts?

One of my pet peeves in life is unfair taxation.
