If you are concerned about what they are checking for perhaps you need to look elseware for a job. A job they don't drug test for is Burger King, unless you move up into management. Big difference between showing up high and burning some fries and having a job that someones life depends on you to be on top of your game, AT ALL TIMES! Drugs and the military do not mix.

To me, it doesn't matter because I have zero to even try & hide. All I know is I hope all of our USAF pilots are flying those aircraft with fully functional & alert brains at all times. Even Crew Chiefs & Mechanics should be 100% drug-free & continually alert.
If I were you, I'd ask your recruiter what method they use, but BEWARE...even 'asking' is considered by them as extremely "suspicious".
Usually they'll do a urine test first! After that, if they suspect you of something they can do blood and/or hair folicle tests. It's rare for them to miss something! (see clarification below)
~Clarification~ THAT IS, -Unless- the U.S. Military is _now_ so "desparate" for NEW enlistees that recruiters are "ordered" to 'overlook' positive drug test results. I'll bet GWB can tell you for sure! What the actual _truth_ is may be a totally different matter altogether. :))

confident, each and all the amenities do random drug assessments for officer and enlisted and in case you are trying "warm" at any time as an officer you would be court docket Martialed and given a Dishonorable Discharge with severe lifetime outcomes of that discharge. the standards of habit are stricter for officers and the punishments much greater severe. the clarification in the back of the 0 Tolerance coverage is that for the period of 1981 a military EA-6B (4-seat digital countermeasures plane) crashed coming aboard the service, killing 14 and injuring 80 one. while the examine substitute into finished it substitute into desperate that the three enlisted deckhands who have been got here across to have began the chain of events that introduced approximately the twist of fate had THC (marijuana) of their structures. As a armed forces officer you're on accountability 24/7 and you'd be called in to accomplish your interest at any time of day or nighttime. What while you're called to accountability in basic terms after one in all your "leisure" drug makes use of and your judgement is impaired...which it is going to likely be once you smoke...are you waiting to make judgements while you're stoned that would impression the protection or lives of your fellow officers or your subordinates? of course, you have not any thought of ways the armed forces operates or the responsibilities and prevalent jobs that bypass alongside with being an officer. of course, you at the instant are not the "smart youngster" you think of you're. in case you could not see the relationship and necessity and you're unwilling to provide up your "leisure" drug use then you definately do not belong in any of the amenities as officer or enlisted.
