We need a law regulating the issuance of citizenship to NO MORE than 200,000 people per year. This would keep our country from growing into a population we cannot sustain on our natural resources. More than that number will be disastrous to our infrastructure and environment. The USA today allows approximately 1,000,000 people to immigrate here annually. We need to enforce the law we already have on the books on ILLEGAL immigration. That abuse needs to be totally stopped!!

This is not my idea but
Have the Govt pay for all federal elections
This would eliminate the lobbying problem we have now
Rich and powerful special interest groups would not have more influence
Congressmen would not have to spend half their term trying to raise money to get re elected
Its estimated that the 2006 election came to about 2.2 billion
Now there are several different ways this could b e implemented
Such as the person running for office raises money and the incumbent would get matching funds so it would only cost the Govt 1.1 billion for the past election
It would also eliminate the problem of a super rich candidate who pays millions out of his own pocket to get elected

1. Speak English.
2. No anchor babies and no public assistance for aliens.
3. If you are an alien and commit a crime, any crime, you are auto deported.
4. No one in this country on any form of public assistance can play the lottery, buy alcohol or cigarettes.
5. No more unemployment checks. There are plenty of jobs out there. Work 2 or three jobs.
This is a great start.

This country has far too many laws already.
Even my Congressman once told me, "There are so many laws, if you obey one, you're probably breaking another one."
Why not introduce a law that mandates Congressional lawmakers to do the following:
1) For every law you pass, another law must be taken "off the books";
2) Every law passed must apply to members of Congress, just as it applies to every other citizen;
3) The Ten Commandments should become the basis for all law in the United States;
4) Any member of Congress who disobeys any law is subject to be sentenced to death by hanging for treason;
5) Any law is subject to judicial review by a panel of 'common' citizens and can be arbitrarily taken "off the books" in one year if such a citizens' panel deems it appropriate. -RKO-

We need a law against using The Lords name in Vain , They have hate crime laws, So if I have to hear someone use my Gods name in vain then I consider it a hate crime and should be able to have these people arrested , We could shut down Hollywood for good

A "Sundown" law, wiping out laws that have proved to be ineffective or invasive after a 4 year period, including "temporary" tax legislation (like the illegal tax on compensation for labor started right after WW II)

There are far to many laws, rules and regulations now. The only *new* law that I would like to see is a repeal of *all* other laws and start again from scrach.

The country was founded by Protestant Christians who wanted religious freedom. God is mentioned in nearly all original laws and documents. "In God We Trust" is printed on our currency. "One nation under God" is in our pledge of allegiance. The list goes on. Originally, the US could accurately be called a "Christian Nation." But now we have such a diverse population with such diverse beliefs, it seems ignorant to call it this. To me, calling it a "Christian Nation" stems from the origin, but I suppose to some it may be that Christians are the majority. I do think things are getting out of hand with all this politically correct crap, though. It's crazy to constantly change everything around the changing beliefs of the populace. We shouldn't have to coddle grown adults so they can have their perfect little world.
