Is GW Bush & Co. beyond the reach of world justice? I'm asking this question because of some obvious reasons, which are:
1) is there no other greater power on earth than the President of the US? Are they untouchable after leaving office?
2) is invading another nation still possible in this day and age? for whatever reason, this one is non existent, is it justifiable?
3) now we all know how Clinton was crucified in front of the world over the comedic Lewinsky lie, how is GWB and his destructive gazillion $$ WMD lie any different? Is he gonna be allowed to slide free?
4) By all counts the adventure in Iraq has killed / is killing more people than all the years Saddam was seated in power.
5) What constitutes a charge of "crime against humanity"? Murders? Massacres? Killing Fields?
6) Finally, on whose conscience is these misled fiasco gonna rest? Is it ok to stay quiet?
Hey, guys i'm no USA basher or anything , i just worry on the direction the US is being led these days.

I think that most fiscal conservatives value spending on scientific research when the potential outcome may be the elimination of debilitating illness and injuries, thus promoting cost savings on social spending for treatment of permanently disabled citizens. What is your opinion? Should spending on research be cherry picked based strictly upon the social conservate, Christian fundamentalist viewpoint? Isnt this type of fundamentalist archane thinking what resulted in the dark ages?

She wasn't perfect but at least she had some balls (excuse the expression). Personally, I don't think she would have stood for any of this pc human rights rubbish, giving druggies money, scrounging of the benefit system cr*p we have today.

If only this government could be as 'iron.'

What do you think?

I've heard of putting an apple or a slice of bread in with them to keep them fresh, but I'm afraid they will get moldy. Has anyone ever tried this, or found another way to get soft cookies to Iraq???

Neocons here can't wait to start ripping the democrats in Congress. They are HOPING they totally fail.

Isn't that somewhat anti-american in itself? Wouldn't you want the Democrats to do a good job and help right this country? Or are you simply too blind to see how harrowing a path we are headed down to realize we NEED a major change?

When Bush took office, I was hopeful it wouldn't turn out so bad. I was even hopeful it might be "ok". Sure, I pretty much expected disaster, but I kept an open mind about it. I think its horrible for our country that he did such a horrendous job. I wish we weren't in this situation, I really do.

ignore Rudy Guiliani blaming the troops for problems in Iraq? Isn't that hypocritical?

http://www.bluebus.org/archives/20041028_rudy_guiliani_b.php

And for anyone who says anything about this being a liberal website, I do remember when this happened. Rudy was on Imus the next day and flat out DENIED saying it, even though he was on tv doing so.

october was the record highst total for detah in iraq(3700 deaths), isn't it enough proof that the invasion of iraq was a big mistake.no other conflict in the world at this present time has that many people dieing. stop blameing the infighting in iraq on insurgents, there was no alqueda or terrorists in iraq before the invasion.

Why is it that the more religion is taken out of government, the more secularized societies become, the better, more humane their laws, and the more tolerant their people?

Are there people here who actually consider themselves part of the BASE of neocons? And no, all of you people who frown on their spendthrift ways and lack of true conservative values are NOT part of the base. I mean someone who 100% supports all that is neoconservatism as defined by Bush?

I doubt a term and wrongminded spin on conservative values like "neocon" can last through the decades. It seems like its lifespan is short-lived.

Do you think the term neocon is going to die, and die sooner rather than later? I'm not predicting the end of the Republican party, just a repackaging that will include a group emphasizing the "smaller government, less spending" schtick more so that they can regain power to blow up government and spend more again.

I think that the distinction is obvious, but some people seem confused. There are both fiscal and social agendas supported by the Republican party, but not all republicans concur with the social agenda, which moderate Republicans view as driven by untra right wing extremism and Christian fundamentalism, which many moderates fear is leading the nation down a path where one religous belief will deny the other citizens their freedoms and liberties. Fiscal conservatives support capitalist economics, fiscal responsibility, and prudent stewardship of national resouces. Does anyone not understand this?
