I have sent cookies overseas in baggies with styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap to the military guys and they were fine.....a bit broken when they got there, but good to eat.
Try the info from the web site below.
STEP 1: Put cookies in an airtight container such as a tin or plastic container with a tight fitting lid
STEP 2: Put a layer of waxed paper on top of the cookies but leave a little room.
STEP 3: Add 1/2 a piece of fresh bread to give moisture to the cookies during their journey.

Bread works...hubby did two tours there...the bread won't get moldy; it gets stale as the moisture is stripped from it by the cookies.
You can also use a food sealer if you can afford one.
Also, if you can find a recipe for biscotti, that's really good to send. They're naturally hard cookies that you dunk in hot coffee or chocolate, so, if they get there hard, that's how it's supposed to be.
Packages get there more quickly than you might expect sometimes. So, give it a go. I always mixed homemade stuff with store-bought so that even if it took a month or so (he was infantry, so, he didn't get to the FOB on a regular basis). Other times, it took les than a week.

Add a slice of bread. The bread will increase the time it takes for the cookies to become stale.
Besides - getting home-made cookies in Iraq was such an exciting event for me that I didn't care that they were hard as concrete.

Babe, you are obviously just turning him on even more by making him feel needed. He's also probably riddled with guilt at the idea of leaving you when you're in such bad shape. Clean the house, get a makeover, and introduce him to the biggest loser you can find. You'll all be happier!

Wow, um... if he desparately wants homemade cookies, I don't think they are going to make it. I don't think fresh ingredients would make it either.
There a silica dioxide packets you could send with it, but. Yeah, it doesn't seem like a good idea. You could vacuum pack or dehydrate your cookies, if you have a dehydrator.
Otherwise, your craptacular preservative cookies from the store will have to do.

When I was in iraq my mom bought one of those machines that sucks all of the air out of the bag and sent them that way. They were always soft when I got them.
BTW, those cookies could be hard a a rock and you boyfriend would still eat them and love them because you cared enough to support him. tell him i said Godspeed!

I've had people send cookies to me when deployed all they did was stick them in like a Tupperware container, and they seemed to be fine to me and the platoon,, they were gone in about 10 min.

My secret: bake as per usual, then freeze them. While still frozen, vacuum seal them( you can get a simple one with no frills for under $75). Slip a thin piece of cardboard between the layers to keep them from being crushed.

I sent cookies just wrapped in plastic with foil over the plastic. My ex got them and all of his buddies loved them. They may not have been as fresh as if He had got them right away, but they loved them.
