1) Iran wants nukes. They say for energy, but it's really to nuke Isreal and us.

2) Iran backed Hezbollah attacks Isreal. This was dipping their toes in the water to see what would happen

3) Pres. of Iran prays for armageddon at the U.N.

4) Iran & Syria now want to "Help" Iraq with their "Situation" - yeah, right

5) Iran & Syria participated in the Lebanese assasination today.

Now, how much bigger does the writing on the wall need to be? Why is nobody doing anything to stop this?

My fiance' has 2 children 18 and 21. She recently foud out she still owes arrears for the past 5 years on both children. The court put her in jail for 30 days last month for contempt, non payment. Her ex husband has sent me and her mother e-mails offerig a lump sum settlement and if we do't take it he will use her past to keep her in jail for as long as the law allows him to. If we take he says he will drop the issue forever, obviously hes just being money hungry. My question is can this be considered extortion and can he be charged as such?

I think it may be true. Think of it, they fund social programs with the assumption that you are unable to care for yourself, fund your own retirement, pay medical bills, etc.

Conservatism places faith and responsibility in the hands of individuals.

On the issue of taxes, the idea seems to be that Liberals are pro-put all the taxes on the rich, while the Conservatives are more the richer you are, the less taxes you pay. While I know that not everybody in either political party feels that way, I agree with neither. My stance on the issue: a sliding scale, the richer you are, the more you pay in taxes. Comments?
