I have this question because I truely want to report some pornographic websites. BUt, I can't find where to report. Plus, it seems that people only care if there is children exploration involved. Les/gay are an psychological issue, why authorities aren't doing anything?

Pornography is every adult Americans god given right. Plus nobody can agree on what is porn or artistic expression. If all the website that had any sexually explicit movies, pics and text were removed from the web it would no longer exist. Even though you may be offended by porno there are several people with a healthy sexual appetite that enjoy it. If a site is offensive simply block it. Its only criminal when that site exploits someone/something who isn't capable of giving conform consent. That's why you only hear about child pornography reporting sites.

Whether porno is legal or not depends on which country you are in. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with porn, as long as it involves two consenting adults. Historically it has always been a part of humanity and our natural instincts so I am not quite sure what your problem is with it. In regards to gay or lesbian porn, these societal groups have the right to express themselves just like anybody else. You can't discriminate on sexuality, this is illegal in most Western Countries! So aren't you a bit confused about what is legal and what is not?

It's not illegal, that's why. As long as consensual adults are involved, porn's covered under the First Amendment. Remember, that's there not to protect speech you like, but also (and most importantly) to protect speech you don't like.

If you're stumbling across websites involving kids or animals, by all means, call the cops. Otherwise, install some filters on your computer, keep an eye on your kids when they're online, and just stay away from the sites that offend you. It's really not that hard to avoid the porn.

Pornography is "legal" because the First Ammendment to the Constitution protects freedom of speech without qualification. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

We protect pornography, the right of Nazis to march in Jewish neighborhoods, and many other forms of speech because the Constitution's guarantee was made in order to secure the right of the people to communicate with one another regarding government and politics. When any one area of speech is limited by government, it starts us on a slippery slope toward government contolling all speech, which would effectively end ALL of our rights under the Constitution.

Thus, when the McCain-Feingold "Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act" limited U.S. entities' rights to speak out on political matters, it sure sounded like an act "abridging freeedom of speech." The Supreme Court (the predictable four left-wingers plus Sandra Day O'Connor, may she burn in Hades) agreed that it did just that, but it was OK because there was a significant government interest in ensuring fair elections. If that bloc decides that there is some significant government interest that allows reinstating slavery, or that allows banning religious expression, or that allows the government to deny women the right to vote, then there is a precedent in the McCain-Feingold decision that can be cited in support of any of those actions.

Pornography is legal because, if we allow censorship, we allow destruction of all the rest of our liberties.

you're of direction doing this for interest, yet i believe beneficiant, so i will answer. Goverments enable porno and sex contained in the media because if the did not it will be a contravention of freedom of expression, which maximum civilized countries carry to be very sacred.

Most foreign guys in Yahoo chat always asking people to put the web cam on. I wonder why? porn is legal if you don't like it don't watch it. You mention gay are a psychological issue. Men who have hang ups about gay people tend to be very unsure of their own sexuality. This must include you then

As a conservative with a semi opened mind (I plead the fifth!!!) I can tell you that in the U.S., during the Reagan years, there was a huge push to make porn illegal. The government spent lots of tax payers dollars. In the end, it came down to two simple facts.
1. You can't legislate morality. And,
2. There's way too much money to be made.

If its really illegal stuff then report it.

If and when things like porn get repressed, it just make organized crime stronger. Also the good quality friendly porn would go away be replaced by more hateful types. Like in prohibition times with alcohol.

Some pornography is protected by first amendment rights, the freedom of speech. Not all pornography is legal and if you suspect it is illegal you can report it to your local law enforcement agency. If it is illegal they will act upon it and if it is not, there's nothing they can do. Again, if you suspect it is illegal file a complaint with local law enforcement and provide as much detailed information as you can as to website data etc.

Who cares I would rather look at porn than listen to the news about people being killed and other horrible violence. What is wrong with nudity and sex we all do it some time in our lives, it is a natural and beautiful thing when you are doing it with some one you love.
