My boyfriend recently got laid off about three weeks ago for the season as a 1099 subcontractor for a landscape company. His boss is refusing to pay him is final paycheck (over $1500) because he is being assused of breaking a machine that he did not break. Does his ex-boss have the right to do this? And what can my boyfriend legally do to make his ex-boss pay him what he is owed?

Thanks.

i was driving home last night from getting a ps3 and a cop pulled me over and said my license plate tag was expired. the ticket ended up being $179. my court date is november 29th.

if i get my tag renewed before then, will they reduce the $179? how will i show them proof that i did this?

do i have to go to court? or do i just tell the person i'm paying my ticket to that its renewed?

and its not a moving violation right?

The technical and therefore legal difference between the meaning of 'murder' and 'killing' is very grey. It is used in legalise to defend the actions of US and UK soldiers as 'justified homocide' or as 'legal killing' of innocent citizens *by accident, cough* but not in defence of the Iraqi insurgents who are also engaged in a war (against an occupier) who have been downgraded as 'terrorists' to somehow grade inhumanity as 'OK' as long as it is officially supported by HM Government but 'not OK' for the Arabs because they have no institutional support. The ethical posturing by HM's Law Lords is therefore very unreliable in this highly hypocritical context.

ENTITLED To US Citizenship ?
Should We Make It SO EASY (Unrestricted)
(As LA RAZA Is DEMANDING)
For ANYONE From ANYWHERE To Enter The USA
And Be Granted INSTANT ACCESS (AMNESTY)
Only Because They JUMPED A FENCE ?
OR
Should We ENFORCE Our Borders
And DEMAND That ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS
Be Deported IMMEDIATELY Upon Discovery ?

Does The Ability To SNEAK Into Our Nation
Qualify A Person To Stay In The USA ??

My family was about as far from perfect as it gets .After my mother died and my dad turned to drink when i was 9 i was the only one looking after my 4 brothers and sisters ,I might be a bit illiterate(as people on here seem so fond of pointing out) but all the rest got an education and a good job And none of us turned into criminals or thugs In fact a lot of people who did end up on drugs and in prison were from the posh families who looked down on us

I've been reading a lot of opinions about the Iraq war, and while democrats say we should pull out on a time schedule, many republicans are saying no we need to stay in Iraq because we haven't won yet. Why on earth do we have to win? Isn't human life and the protection of the United states more important than winning and placating the chip on Bush's shoulder?

i am amazed at how many people really think this. do they not realize that he started showing up in a uniform as soon they started talking of a army. most will say will it was in his speech to Congress after but they only see half the speech here it is

I beg they will accept my cordial thanks for this distinguished testimony of their approbation. But lest some unlucky event should happen, unfavorable to my reputation, I beg it may be remembered by every gentleman in the room that I this day declare with the utmost sincerity I do not think myself equal to the command I am honored with. As to pay, Sir, I beg leave to assure the Congress that as no pecuniary consideration could have tempted me to accept this arduous employment at the expense of my domestic ease and happiness, I do not wish to make any profit from it. I will keep an exact account of my expenses. Those I doubt not they will discharge, and that is all I desire."

he is protecting his honor by saying he didn't want it.
